  This is our first time renting from VRBO and the owner made it so much more personable and easy to deal with. The condo is very clean and nicely decorated. All the bathrooms are updated and the keyless entry made it so much easier to get in and out without having to worry about the keys. The daily free hour use of tennis court was another great amenity. Also we got a nice discount from renting a bike because we stayed at this unit. We will definitely rent this unit in the future when we come to Hilton Head.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  I am a wedding planner and had a wedding at the Dunes House. I was looking for a condo that would be convenient to the venue and also provide a place to relax. Contacting the owner of this fabulous condo was a stroke of luck! The owner provided maps and other information that was very helpful. He also called to make sure everything was satisfactory. This condo is extremely clean, well maintained, and is beautifully furnished, offering 2 balconies where my assistant and I enjoyed coffee in the morning and a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. It was also very convenient to the General Store inside Palmetto Dunes. We found a great place for lunch, brunch or dinner, very casual Low Country Restaurant where you can sit outside if you like, shaded by lovely trees, and if evening there are fire pits. The food was amazing and we went there twice. Also, for seafood, Crazy Crabs in Sea Pines, was delish,,,,,,the largest scallops I have ever seen and prepared to perfection, great clam chowder and more shrimp than I could eat. Back to the condo, the walk to the beach took you along a lovely path through trees, pools, and fountains. Easy parking out of the sun, and luggage carts were also a great convenience. We will definitely return on our next trip to Hilton Head! We have already recommended it to friends and family!

  We decided to take a last minute break from work - literally decided Thursday morning to leave out Thursday afternoon! Ralph was an absolute pleasure to talk to and made the entire rental process a breeze. The villa is very spacious, well laid out and beautiful! For our family of five it was a great spot to both relax and work! The villa is decorated beautifully and was exceptionally clean. We saw others around the villas, but never heard any noise. The master bed was so comfy, I never wanted to leave! Villamare is wonderful with great amenities and so close to the ocean! The only downside we found was that the indoor pool/spa closes at 5pm every day, but there was so much other stuff to do around the island that it was no trouble. Definitely recommend renting a bike to explore! We are sore as it was our first time on bikes in years, but two entire days of riding around the island is a memory we will carry for a long time. We ran across an alligator while biking which our boys loved! The private beach for Villamare meant no crowds which we enjoyed immensely. Overall, just a terrific experience and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we will be calling Ralph again!!! Thanks for sharing your home with us!!!!

  The Villamare condo is a wonderful spot to spend a seek. Centrally located in Palmetto Dunes but also very close to the beach (60 yards). Condo was very clean and well appointed. Beds, flat screen tv's, etc were exceptional. I would certainly consider staying at this property in the future. For an adventure, rent a kayak (near the condo) and see if you can spot a gator!

  The condo was very clean. The attention to deatail by Ralph was impressive. We used the free tennis all week and the location to the beach was great for our family. I would recommend to anyone looking for a simple transaction and a well maintained unit.

  We rented this condo from 9/2 to 9/10/2011. This is the week including and right after Labor Day. It was a fabulous time to rent as the crowds cleared out on Tuesday and we felt like we had a private pool and beach. We have probably rented at Villamare 10 times but this is the first time in this unit. We would definitely pick this unit again above all the others. The owners have taken very good care of the condo and the updates are very well done. Very pretty and comfortable! Great Place to Rent.....Great time to rent....Thanks Ralph! We loved it.

  We were looking for a last minute trip, and Ralph was not only the most responsive person on VRBO that I have ever dealt with, but this Villa was also extremely well appointed and lovely to stay in. We will certainly go back. He made planning the trip so easy, and everything was in order when we got there. The keyless entry into the unit makes going to and from so easy, and the information he provided prior to the trip made it a painless and effortless vacation. Thank you Ralph for being one of the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with on VRBO.

  Owner response: My goal in renting is to treat all of my guests just as I would want to be treated if the roles were reversed. I truly understand the sometimes very trying task involved when researching VRBO listings prior to committing. However, the more searching that is done, the better the chance for making an educated decision regarding your vacation destination. Being aware of this, I feel honored when my property has been narrowed down, from the many available. As my previous guests know, I believe that "we're not strangers, just friends who haven't met". Since listing with VRBO in 2003, I have been blessed with many, many "friends" and I look forward to having many more. Best regards, Ralph

  Ralph, thanks so much for the use of your lovely villa this February (10. We had a great stay, although a little cool. Tennis, golf, cycling, trips to Savannah and just enjoying good Hilton Head foods were a treat. Not to mention the use of the health club and walk son the beach, always fun..and a great location. Pleasure to deal with you making the arrangements. All went smoothly and we will do it again! -jere and bonnie
