This is a beautiful 4 Bedroom 3 Bathroom home located in a private community in Otis Massachusetts available to rent. The house has a large living room with a wood burning stove and satellite tv, very large dining room, large kitchen with breakfast bar and eating area, 3 bedrooms with Queen Beds, a 4th bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a pullout, and 3 bathrooms with a whirlpool in the master bath. Additionally there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a large deck with a grill and a screened-in porch.
The house is 20-25 minutes from Great Barrington and 15-20 minutes to Lee, Lenox and Stockbridge where you can find plenty of shopping, galleries and outlets. There are also nearby ski areas (Butternut, Jiminey Peak, Otis Ridge, and Catamount) all within 30 minutes of the house. Cookware, sheets, and towels are all provided and there is a washer/dryer in the house as well.

Why the Owner Chose Otis
We fell in love with the Berkshires in the 70's, before we had kids. It's such a wonderful area for all four seasons. In 1975, my wife's aunt had just purchased land and built a home in Otis Woodlands. We went for a visit and fell in love all over again; this time with the OWL community. We purchased our 1 acre in 1976 and waited until the late 80's to build our dream home.
The Unique Benefits of this House
When our kids were young we traveled the 2-1/2 hrs from the NY metropolitan area on most weekends. We had season passes to Butternut for many years where our kids enjoyed the Ski-Wee program as the foundation for the expert skiers that they are today. We've enjoyed many performances at Tanglewood over the years including James Taylor, the Boston Symphony and the Boston Pops. The Woodlands offers a pool, 4 tennis courts and a lake (no motor boats are allowed). If you want more in the way of water sports the Otis Reservoir is just 10 minutes away. I'm an avid road cyclist and have spent many days cycling through the Berkshires. What a way to see the countryside. This past weekend I cycled through or near Monterey, Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lenox and the Gingerbread House in Tyringham. There's something for everyone in the Berkshires and renting (or owning) in the Woodlands is the icing on the cake!
