Our home is single level and on the largest lot on Mt. Soledad. A private spa on the deck looks out to a view of the skyline and mountains. 4 fireplaces and 2 outdoor fountains enhance the Spanish charm of the property. 3 sets of French doors lead to the outside courtyard, complete with outdoor dining and BBQ area.
The master suite provides romantic setting, enjoy the fireplace, the city night light views and an incredible sunrise to start another perfect day. The spacious master bath has a large Jacuzzi tub, walk in shower with 3 heads, 2 vanities, wine cooler, coffee station and plasma. Walk in closet with built in furniture provide storage, safe in master suite as well.
Gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with professional 60" range with double ovens, 6 burners and 2' of griddle, full size side by side fridge and freezer. There are plenty of places to dine, the kitchen bar seats 4-6, there is a cozy bistro table, the dining room seats 6 and opens up to the courtyard where there are 2 additional dining areas that seat 8. Enjoy indoor outdoor living here year round.
The family room has a large leather sectional that accommodates all, to either watch TV on a 48" plasma, or gather around a large round corner fireplace. The living room is another place to relax in large overstuffed sofa and chairs also around a fireplace. Beautiful hand carved stone, imported talavera tile, wood floors, hand forged rod iron and custom interior plaster help to create the warmth of the beautifully appointed hacienda.
The other 3 large bedrooms have a stereo keypad control, TV, walk in closet, custom lighting and furnishings. The 5th bedroom is a smaller den/office with a twin bed.
The yard has over 15 fruit trees, enjoy fresh fruit all summer long, avocados, pomegranate, all types of citrus, plums, peaches, nectarines and much more. Blackberries and raspberries are soon to follow. This property is a tropical paradise with endless opportunity.
The home has ac although it is rarely needed due to the ocean and canyon breezes that flow through the house.

8 of us just stayed here on our once a year superbowl time get together and it was amazing. We came from Seattle, Texas, Kansas City and Florida and truly had a great time. Everything we wanted to do in San Diego was very close and easy to get to, only ten minutes from I-5. The views from this beautiful house are unbelievable...Everything that is listed is true to fact and the owner Jodi made our stay very accommodating. The house is in a great location and the beds were the best I have slept on from a rental house stand point. Everything you would need for your stay was accessible in the house, would definitely stay here again or one of their other properties. Thank you for making our 12th year in a row trip one of the best...

Every year our four couple group rent a home during Super Bowl Weekend. This is a time for us to travel, visit new places, catch-up over the year and have not kids. We selected San Diego this year and the La Jolla Estate Home during our visit. I do not often write reviews, but this was a very plesant experience for us all. The rental ease working with the owners of this home was incredible. The house itself is high on Soledad Mountain overlooking San Diego. Views are breath taking during the day and especially at night. We all said the beds were very comfortable and rooms are great. I highly recommend this rental if traveling to San Diego. We all agree it was our best rental home over the last twelve years.

We had a great stay at the house! Plenty of room for our 6 adults and 6 children. The house is beautiful and in a great location. We were at the beach in less than 5 minutes, at Sea World in 5 minutes and only 10 minutes to the zoo. Since Mt. Soledad Memorial was only a minute or two from the house we decided to check it out and we are definitely glad we did. It had excellent views of the entire area. We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after some long days at the parks. The sectional sofa and large TV were a hit with the men. The layout of the house makes it great for several families to share, each with their own "wing". The owners were prompt to answer any questions and even gave me a great last minute rental rate. I only wish that I didn't have to leave!

my husband surprised me for my birthday with a lovely party at the prado in balboa park, inviting many of my friends from far and wide, and then finding this house for everyone to stay in and have a holiday this past labor day weekend. the HOUSE IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! We took to calling it "The Villa" -- though my daughter insisted it was "The Castle" -- and it is just glorious in every way. The furnishings are authentic Mexican handicrafts hauled back over the border.... lush, rich, warm, sensuous and inviting. Just coming through the great wooden front door and seeing the chandelier silhouetted against the light pouring in from a wall of amazing windows -- with a stately tinkling fountain in the courtyard beyond...oh, my. leaving was agony. There are essentially 5 bedrooms with very cozy beds, steaming hot tub, gorgeous view over the valley....and the price is very reasonable. Thank you for letting us use this gorgeous home!

Our family so enjoyed our trip to La Jolla and the beautiful home was a highpoint. We relaxed for 5 days and spent time enjoying the incredible view and cooking great meals in the well equipped kitchen. The owners were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this home.

About the owners: Jodi and Corlan are a very reliable couple. We threw our wedding reception at their estate home in La Jolla. It was grand. We were able to customize the venue as per our needs. The guests were in awe with all the decorations and the beautiful setup and view. Jodi and Corlan were very helpful and monitored the progress of the setup. As a bride I was stress free and could totally rely on them. This is a great vacation home if you need a romantic getaway. If you are a responsible group of adults, it is nice to hangout here. I wouldn't want the owners to rent this to people who do not value the beauty of the home. We had a great experience and will totally recommend this to all our friends.

We had a wonderful time at your hacienda in La Jolla. Your home was magical and we left with such fond memories. How you balance old world Mexico with modern and state of the art conveniences is just remarkable. The gardens, the furnishings, the view and your central location was perfect. Our whole family is looking forward to returning. You were so helpful and everything was clean and in working order. I would recommend staying at your home without reservation.

It was on a busier road than it seemed to be from the description. The property was clean and beautifully decorated. The owners were very helpful and nice. It is really 4 bedrooms and an office with a small bed in it not 5 bedrooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
