Living in the Ocean block is awesome! There is so much to be said for simply grabbing a cup of coffee and walking down to the beach to watch the morning unfold. It's also nice to be able to leave the beach to use the bathroom or make lunch for the family and be back to your beach chair in only 5 to 10 minutes.
The Starboard restaurant and bar is the Heart of Dewey Beach Delaware and home of the world's greatest Bloody Mary bar.

I am a true Dewey Beach native. Born and raised here, one of the few left. My Grandfather rented small beach cottages here in Dewey since the early 40's. My Father and Mother, Bill and Thelma Wilson ran the family business Wilson's Variety Store with apartments above for nearly 40 years. Now my wife Donna and I are proud to be a third generation accommodation providers with our town homes at The Surfrider Condominium. Our guests enjoy clean well maintained accommodations because the cleaning and maintenance crews don't leave until I inspect the work they have done. I love Dewey Beach and I think you will too. Just got back from a trip with a group of my girlfriends! We stayed Thursday-Tuesday at Surfrider and could not have picked a better place to say! The owners are as nice as can be, very professional and accommodating. Surfrider gave us two parking passes which were included in our reservations, one for a spot right outside of our condo and the other for anywhere in Dewey. The owner helped me find a spot to park using the Dewey pass and never had to use a car the entire stay! A cute welcome package was waiting for us when we arrived complete with a pale and shovel! The salad factory is awesome (right under the Surfrider) coffee shop, a convenience store, beer/liquor store etc. everything you would need is right in walking distance, including the beach! Top reasons to stay here: No need to cab or drive anywhere, walk to the beach & bars. CLEAN condo's! We will be back, thanks Surfrider.

Harry and his staff are awesome! We are welcomed like family every year for the Skim championships and would never consider staying anywhere else, especially with Alley-Oop nearby.
