Location: Monterey, Central Coast, California, USA (One Hour from San Jose Airport, 2 Hours Away from SF)

Accommodations:  Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)

Charming historical house near all the sites of the Monterey Bay Area. Full service kitchen - complete with dishwasher, micro, oven, stove top and cappuccino machine, coffee maker and coffee beans. Wireless internet/Cable TV/DVD - provided.

Furnished living room with Cozy couch and chairs -- beautiful maroon throws on in the living room to curl up with. Cathedral ceiling/Window seat and French doors give this little house great ambience. There are actually 2 areas to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. A deck with a table and 4 chairs on it in the middle of the garden or an enclosed patio area with a couple of iron chairs, table, and bench if you want more privacy.

One of the two bedrooms is located downstairs and has a queen bed. It's situated next to a spacious bathroom. A loft upstairs off the living room is used as a 2nd bedroom. Both queen beds are very comfortable. High quality linens, warm inviting pillows, cozy comforters are used.
The bathroom includes a jacuzzi tub with shower/also a new washer/dryer.

Just being in the Monterey Area is inspirational and to wake up in the loft and view the garden is a treat.
Very peaceful and lovely.

Both bedrooms have a view of the garden. Different flowers are blooming all all year long.

  • My boyfriend and I came here to retreat from all the noise of the city and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect escape. We loved the layout of the house. Waking up in the loft and watching the mist breeze through the garden was such an amazing way to start a day. We highly recommend this house for anyone who wants an alternative to a B&B or motel. After staying here I think it's the only way to go! Thanks Carol for having such a great place for people to escape to. I will definitely be back!

  • We had an enjoyable stay at this charming cottage. Fresh coffee beans to grind every morning, comfortable beds. We loved the aquarium (and the complimentary tickets). And the cottage is within walking distance of a great pizza place, bbq joint, bakery, and two supermarkets.

  • We would highly recommend this adorable cottage. Very clean and comfortable with beautiful gardens and a quiet patio. We very much appreciated the two free passes to the aquarium -- a savings of up to $60. And the wi-fi and conveniently located grocery stores were huge plusses. Owners communicated well both before and after the visit, and the security deposit was promptly returned after our stay. Excellent place!

  • I have used this charming cottage for out of town guests, and all have been enchanted by it. It is wonderfully located, with easy access to the Aquariuim, to downtown Pacific Grove and downtown Monterey. It is right off of Highway 68, so getting to Carmel is easy, too. There is a great bakery just 4 blocks away, and two good restaurants easily walkable from the cottage. It is extremely quiet and the garden is lovely. The rooms have beautiful light, the beds are comfortable, and the whole experience is very non-motel. I highly recommend this little jewel, which a visiting European friend aptly referred to as "very bijou".
