Location: Roche Harbor, San Juan Island, San Juan Islands, Washington State, USA (One Mile from Roche Harbor)
Accommodations: Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
A unique water view retreat, Westcott Woods cabin (click below on Links to go directly to website) is the perfect place to spend both an active and restorative break. Perfect for a small group of friends, one or two couples, a small family or an artist in retreat, this cabin provides a private and rustic hide-away that feels deep in the forest, but with a beautiful view and waterfront access of Westcott Bay and everything the San Juan Islands have to offer.
Set back only one lot from Westcott Bay, the views of the water and sunset make Westcott Woods cozy and comforting.
Built from reclaimed materials found at historic sites on San Juan Island, Westcott Woods has an open floor plan with a sunken living room, as well as the front and back bedrooms. The entry leads into the kitchen and the separate eating area.
Both bedrooms have double size platform bed and look out onto the water. Skylights let in natural light all day long.
Westcott Woods has a charcoal grill to cook up the clams you dug at English Camp, the famous Westcott Bay oysters from the farm down the road, the salmon you bought at Friday Harbor, or the shrimps sold on the docks at Roche Harbor. You can even season your feast with herbs from the drought-tolerant organic herb-garden.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1997
My enthusiasm for the San Juan Islands began aboard a cruising yacht which I moored in Fisherman Bay, Lopez island. A touring kayak is now my preferred vessel for exploring these wonderful islands which have included many a paddle with our resident orcas! My children tell me that our cabin is one of their favorite places to spend time with family and friends. A garden designer by occupation, I have left Westcott Woods landscaped in its native habitat to encourage the wonderful bird and animal life. We enjoy almost daily sightings of eagles, osprey, songbirds, fox, raccoons, and deer.
Why the Owner Chose Roche Harbor
There is something for everyone on San Juan Island...hikes, beaches of all kinds, airstrips, great restaurants, fresh seafood, bakeries, bird watching, kayaking, whale watching, a movie theatre and more!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
This is the place to recreate and relax, spend time with friends or just unwind by oneself. The extensive English Camp and Roche Harbor trail system are within 5 minutes walking distance. Access to Westcott Bay allows for great clam digging.
