Our vacation home is located in a quiet, ocean-side community near Newport, OR, just 3 miles south of the Yaquina Bay bridge. Mysthaven is perfectly located for enjoying the many fun and exciting activities of Oregon's central-coast region. (It is also perfect for relaxing by the fireplace with a good book!)

Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed and there are 2 queen-sized futons in the living room. Sheets, blankets, and pillows are all provided.

The ocean view from the house is limited by the surrounding trees, but just a short walk (200 feet) through the forest will take you to a breath-taking expansive ocean view. The surf is close enough it can be heard from the house, and the private beach access is an easy 7 minute walk. It's the perfect blend of forest and ocean!

Nice place - not to fancy but very comfortable and fairly close to the beach. Very clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. The place has a nice deck in front and a charcoal grill. Neighborhood was quiet. It's just south of Newport and easy to get to town. Newport is a fairly large town with a number of grocery stores and the historic bay front was a fun destination when the weather was rainy. The beach was empty most of the days we were there which was nice. Only thing we would have changed is a door lock on the master bedroom. Drinking water was strongly chlorinated and we ended up buying water after the first day. The owner was great to work with and I thought the description of the property was accurate. Lots of movies for the kids for some downtime.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We and our dogs had a great time at Mysthaven. The house stays really toasty warm, a big plus when we came in from hiking along the beach in November. It's a really beautiful stretch of coastline, you can walk forever at low tide, we even saw a bald eagle. We loved the house, it's well cared for and the master bedroom and bath are gorgeous. The open living, dining, kitchen area is very large and cozy. There's a nice variety of movies and games. The furniture is very comfortable and the house book quickly and easily explained operating the amenities. The house sits in a nice quiet area and the neighbors we spoke with were all very friendly.
