Located in the historic lakeside community of Marla Bay, you can enjoy amazing privacy in this bay with access to all of Tahoe's activities. Zephyr Cove is just up the road and is the destination for many of Tahoe's activities which include powerboat rentals, jet skis and parasailing, fishing charters, sailing cruises on the Woodwind II and the MS Dixie 2, horseback riding, beach volleyball, the famous Sunset Beach Bar and more. The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down; the fine dining, shows, dancing, and casino action of Tahoe's South Shore, including Montbleu and Harrah's are just a short drive away. During the winter months, activities in the area include downhill and cross-country skiing at nearby Heavenly Ski Resort. The Zephyr Cove Resort offers incredible snowmobiling tours and horseback rides overlooking the lake.

My family of four and our dog stayed at this charming home for a week. I loved the location, quiet, friendly community and close proximity to the beach. The house accommodated all of us comfortably. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. The house could use a few cosmetic updates, but had all the basics one would need. We spent a lot of time on the wonderful deck!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: I appreciate your review and feedback. We are in the midst of a major update to the cabin that will include a new kitchen with dishwasher, convection oven, and granite countertops. Also the back bathroom with be completely updated with a new shower and large, high efficiency washer and dryer. These are the kinds of updates my own family has requested for years and I hope you find them to your liking. Check them out this summer!

Our extended family of 8 spent a wonderful Thanksgiving here. The house was great it had everything we needed. The location so close to the lake for long walks on snowying days was wonderful. We liked the fenced yard for the 2 and 4 year old to play in with out us worring about cars. And the adult boys loved the internet connection. We would come back to this house!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with young children.

Why the Owner Chose Zephyr Cove:
Tahoe and specifically Marla Bay has is all. This is an old community with friendly people that have known each other for generations. You can shop for food for a week, go in and totally escape and de-compress. Or you can go and be part of the action all day and all night. I love just going down to the beach, laying in the sand and letting the waves lap at my feet.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Peace. The smell of pines. The sounds of the breeze through the trees and the lake. Sunsets that are to die for.
