Patrick - I've been researching different finished campgrounds for locations for our upcoming Church men's group in Petaluma. I really like all the features at Anvil, and see how we can use it for a variety of small and large sessions, plus many fun activities and contests. I can see how your background at Hyatt carries over to this rustic retreat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I just attended my sister's wedding at Anvil Ranch with my two small kids, and it is WONDERFUL! The bride and groom's family and close friends all had the opportunity to stay on the property, creating a "family reunion" type environment for the newly formed extended family. The house is cozy and complete with all amenities and the Circle of Nature is a breathtaking place to have a ceremony. You are surrounded by nothing but nature -- including wild pigs, quail, turkey vultures and fox! It is truly a unique and beautiful place, and you can tell the care and love Patrick has dedicated to creating this environment for you All of this, so close to San Francisco. Healdsburg is about an hour away, and my sister had her hair done in town at Gabrielle's. We also got our flowers from the local Farmers Market, and cakes from Downtown Bakery. I'm recommending to the newlyweds that we have a reunion here for their anniversary every year :-)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: I welcome you to the most beautiful Ranch in California. Feel free to discover it on your own, or I'd love to provide you with complementary tours of it - at your convenience. But also feel free to relax and just stay by the guest houses admiring the breathtaking views. I am the General Manager of this ranch and live in the Caretaker cottage... close enough to help in every way... but you will rarely see me unless you call. I give groups all the privacy they need. I have worked as an Event and Hospitality Manager for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for more than a decade and provide that same high level of service to you and your guests. My service is reflected in our Yelp reviews. Please don't ever hesitate to call on me if I can help in anyway during your stay.
Why the Owner Chose Healdsburg:
This ranch will feel like 'Yours' - you will be the only guests here. You will have exclusivity to the houses and grounds.
There is a lot of History here on this Ranch too. A wealthy business man built these houses in 1938. Mr. Hedgepeth invented and sold tools to Sears and Roebuck in Chicago.
Our Cattle Rancher - was born on this ranch 73 years ago - and his father managed the several hundred head of cattle before him. This is a 'working ranch'.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
Discover the many peaks, valleys and rivers. Picnic spots abound. The Vineyard, or at the largest Redwood tree in Sonoma County. The 6 acre lake is spring fed... so it is very clear. We recently built a dock/pier... its a great place to swim. Feel free to bring your mountain bike too - there are miles and miles of trails.
