My companions and I have just returned from a delightful stay in Santa Barbara. We had the pleasure of lodging at this beautiful property for a total of 4 nights. The Victorian, which was built in the 1800's was exceedingly well maintained, and stocked with all the amenities that one would want . The location of the property makes it ideal for walking into town and I think it is a big plus for those who would like to ditch the car for a bit and take a stroll. It is no more than a 5 minute walk towards the upper part of State St. Santa Barbara itself is made for strolling and if you want to take in a show while there, the Arlington Theater is not to be missed. Though our stay was delightful, I would add a caveat..............Be aware that this property is on a busy street and while we let our companions stay in the back bedrooms and we stayed in the front room, it was very noisy (traffic wise) for the duration of the day and into the evening, though the traffic died down towards the latter part of the evening. Also, the pull-out sofa in the living room was very uncomfortable and I wound up sleeping on the couch. Not quite what I had expected for the price. Still I would recommend it IF there were only 2 or three of you and you stay in the back bedrooms. It IS very well situated and spotless. You can tell that the property owner has taken care with the Victorian blending the character and history of the period with updates such as WI-Fi. Worth taking is the Santa Barbara Trolley Tour and avoid Pasquals on State, I could have done better with a microwave lunch. Our Property Manager, Kate was exceedingly helpful and the ease of making a reservation will certainly make me return to VRBO.

I had the opportunity to stay at this great house in Santa Barbara for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. The beds were cozy and the house was clean and very spacious. My girl friends and I were a short walk to State Street and were able to enjoy coffee in the private backyard every morning. Fantastic! I would recommend it to anyone.
Owner response:Oh thank you for your review! Im so delighed you had a wonderful time at the home and do appreciate any referrals you send our way! We hope to hear from you again soon!

Our family was in Santa Barbara to drop off our daughter to college. We looked at hotel rooms and were unable to find anything under $200 a nite per room. We needed at least 2 rooms. At this beautiful house we got the following... for a very reasonable price: Privacy Spacious living, dining and kitchen area Big Flat screen TV, fireplace and stereo Clean, Clean, Clean!! Beautifully decorated..very charming Homey Super close to a perfect small market to buy milk and other sundries, plus coffee and deli! Very close to State St. We walked daily! Karen was speedy and helpful when booking..very easy to get in touch with. We felt like we owned the place....no intrusions by maids or loud neighbors. Thank you! We will be back I am sure!! My friends and I were in Santa Barbara last weekend for a wedding, and we were so lucky to stay in this beautiful home! It was so charming, in perfect condition, and the perfect distance from State Street and downtown. There is also a beautiful patio area with a table, lounge chairs, and grill. The house even comes with two bikes, which we put to great use! I definitely will stay here again if I return to Santa Barbara. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful!

Wow, wow, and more wow! I've traveled across the world and have been truly blessed to stay in many five-star hotels and/or resorts...and I have to say, this beautiful home lived up to all of those standards and more. The character itself is incredible and surpassed all of our expectations. I came to Santa Barbara for a wonderful girls' getaway holiday weekend and this property could not have been any better. There were 12 of us ladies and we rented both available properties (both duplexes) which turned out wonderfully. Everyone had their own space, but when we all wanted to be together there is an extremely spacious living room where we all gathered to enjoy each other's company. The close proximity to downtown was a HUGE advantage. We walked everywhere! It's simply two blocks from State Street, close to the move theater, next to coffee shops, a short walk to the beach, etc. This alone saved us a TON of money on cab fare and sanity regarding transporting 12 ladies! The home is updated, yet maintains the character of the quaint downtown. There's an outdoor patio area that we found ourselves "hanging out" in many evenings while enjoying the wonderful Santa Barbara weather. Upon leaving the home, many of the ladies requested the details on how to rent this place as they plan on coming back with their families, especially since this property is affordable. Every one who came has different taste, as well as traveling tactics and yet the home appealed to all of us. On top of the house itself being incredible, the property manager, Kate is great. Anything we needed was handled in a prompt and efficient manner. In fact, my husband and I went to Santa Barbara a month earlier to check out the area, and Kate happily met us on Saturday morning just so we could view the property. Talk about great service! Long story short, this has been one of my best traveling experiences and I hope that many more people get the opportunity to vacation like this also.

A Victorian Dream became reality! What a beautiful house! So nicely decorated and well kept. We all fell in love with it. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and very well equipped, we really enjoyed our stay in apartment B. The location, only two blocks from State Street, with shopping and nice restaurants was also ideal. Great birthday celebration with lunch in the outdoor dining area will stay in my memory. Shortly; we had a perfect stay in Santa Barbara. Now we are back in Sweden with many nice memories. Last but not least, Kate it has really been a great pleasure working with you! Thanks a lot! Aina Bryman and family in Lund Sweden and San Diego

I knew I made a good decision choosing Nantucket West when my parents wouldn't stop admiring it when we walked through the door. The property was nicely updated with modern amenities, while maintaining its Victorian charm. We stayed at the downstairs unit, which had plenty of room to hang out for our group (parents & 3 grown children). The popular downtown area, State St. to the pier, was an easy walk (or bike) away. We truly enjoyed our weekend at the property. One of our highlights was eating a fabulous BBQ meal at the outdoor dining area, using a gas grill available at the rental space. The property manager, Kate, was great to work with. She was very responsive to every question I had, small or big. It was wonderful to have found a space that the owner not only cared about the property but also guests' experiences. I'm recommending it to everyone who's looking for a vacation rental in Santa Barbara.

To celebrate a milestone birthday and Mother's Day, we chose this lovely home in SB. Kate was wonderful to work with...prompt, attentive, and professional. The property was clean, beautifully decorated, and had an lovely outdoor space. We especially liked the kitchen, where we cooked up some nice meals, after visiting the awesome farmer's market. We could walk anywhere in the downtown area to check out the museums and shopping. Only downside to the stay was the street noise. That said, the bedrooms are located away from the street side and noise really settled down after about 10 p.m. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a home away from home.

"We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and really comfortable. We enjoyed the cute window seat in the living room and the comfort of the snuggling on the couch with the fireplace burning. The kitchen was well equipped, which made it easy to feel like we were home. The location, just two blocks over from State Street, was also ideal. We will definitely return!
