Unique Antique Dealer's Home, a beautifully restored Mas (farmhouse) with cathedral like rooms and luxury amenities perfect for a discerning clientel. Ideally located between Nimes & Montpellier, and on the border of the Camargue region, famous for its white horses and black bulls.
La Bastide has been meticulously retored by its current owner, who uses this property as a second home. Featured in numerous interior design magazines, this house is a delight to laze in, spend days by the pool, visit nearby villages and attractions, or spend he day at the endless beaches only 45 mins away by car.
There are four bedrooms in total. 2 large main bedrooms with Queen size beds and large ensuites. A large open studio with natural light on the 1st floor which has a large double bed and a small bathroom with WC and bath. The final bedrrom on the 1st floor is a charming small room for a single person or possibly a young couple with a 3/4 double bed and a slipper bath. (this room uses the ground floor separate WC)
The living areas consist of a very large room with 45ft ceilings and huge oak beams. this room has an open fireplace, and underfloor heating, a huge flat screen TV and DVD player and Bang & Olufsen sound system. Off this area is the large informal kitchen where a large zinc topped table for 10 sits. In the summer months, eating takes place outdoors by the lavender or on the front terrace looking out over the vineyards.
The pool is medium sized, and of one depth, perfect for cooling off and lazing by, under the Olive trees.
This home is on the edge of a small village with all amenities, a supermarket, Tabac, bars, pizzeria, 3 patisserie and hair and beauty salon. The surrounding area includes some famous villages, and there is plenty to do and see during your stay. The city of Arles is only 30mins away by car, as is Avignon and the infamous Isle sur la Sougue for antique enthusiasts!
There is a comprhenive list of local ammenities, restaurants and interesting things to do and see supplied on booking. There is also a very good B&B right next door for unexpected or extra guests!
Car Parking is off street. A car is essential for this area, unless you intent to spend the entire time by the pool!
50% deposit required and final payment must be made 4 weeks prior to booking. 10% cancellation fee if within 4 weeks vacation. CC must be supplied for security, UK or Euro chqs accepted.
