My Townhouse is located at Cannes Village, of which I am the developer. The property is comprised of 18 privately owned townhouses directly on the most beautiful, white sand beach in Freeport. The units have been completely refurnished and everything is new. It has a balcony off the master bedroom overlooking the beach, and ocean. There is a private pool with lounge chairs available to all. The downstairs level has a full kitchen, with everything, a dining area with 6 chairs, a living room that opens to a patio directly on the ocean ( 30 feet away!) There is a bedroom with two single beds on the first floor and a 1/2 bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed, The upstairs guest room has a queen size bed. Both bedrooms have their own private baths. (I have two identical units available right next to each other (units 102 and 103) If your friends want to come, they can stay in 103 next to you. I also have 4 - 2 bedroom units, also available in the other building on the property. Just let me know how many you would need for your group.)
The unit is 800 feet from Bikini Bottom's, a great outdoor restaurant that features a full bar that you can sit in the pool and drink at as well as tables to relax and eat and drink. It is open for lunch and dinner with live music on Thursday and Saturday nights. Conch,a local shellfish, is prepared at a thatch palm kiosk right on the beach!. A convenience store is located walking distance from the townhouse. A full grocery store is less than 3 miles away as is most US franchise fast food restaurants(only 1 of each) such as: McDonalds, Burger King, Kentucky Chicken, Pizza Hut (delivers. There is a 6 movie Cinema about 10 minutes away.
Port Lucaya Marketplace is 3 miles from the complex and has many restaurants and shops plus nightly entertainment in the Square. The nearest grocery store is also about 3 miles away in Seahorse Shopping Plaza. At Port Lucaya, you can rent a boat, go sport fishing, learn to scuba dive and even swim with the Dolphins! Across the street, is the Oasis Casino with Craps, Blackjack, 100 slot machines and every table card game offered in Las Vegas!
Cannes Village is a quiet place that has excellent beach security yet offers everything you will want. When you want "activities" Island Seas Resort, directly adjacent to my complex, offers many activities including volleyball, jet ski rentals, bar, and two restaurant. Also at the Island Seas you can rent cars or sign up for deep sea fishing. They have WiFi available for free in the lobby. The best bonefishing and snorkeling are right off our beach and there is a "blue hole" about 1/4 mile from the unit, about 40 feet off the beach, where 1000's of fish are easy seen with a mask and snorkel. This is my home and is furnished in comfortable furniture and bedding. The unit is well maintained and is complete with everything one would need. There are no pets allowed and a maximum occupancy of six people. When renting, you will be required to provide a photo ID for each person staying, as this is a requirement of our Condo Association.

This is a six unit building and we own 2 units. In the other building we have 4 2 bedroom 3 bath units also for rent.

My family and I purchased at Cannes Village in 1984. I helped develop the property and we have been going there for over 25 years. I traveled the entire Caribbean and settled on Freeport as it has everything yet is so close to the US and very inexpensive to get to and from.

This condo was adequate but in need of major cleaning, upgrades & repairs. The front door was difficult to unlock. There was a strong musty odor that we found difficult to clear out of the place. We had several encounters with large cockroaches, in fact the second day I woke up to find one under my arm. There was a serious ant infestation problem and a lizard was in the spare bedroom. The dishwasher did not work properly and the washing machine broke upon first use. The kitchen paint was peeling badly on one wall. The master bathroom was not in great shape with the shower nozzle not spraying sufficient water, the bathtub drain was clogged and the shower curtain was dirty and mildewed. The shower grout was caked with mold and quite disgusting. The spare bathroom tub nozzle would not turn to adjust hot/cold water. Bed linen and pillows had hair/stains as did many of the towels. While the property manager sent a repair person to clear the master tub drain and look at the washer, none of the other concerns were remedied. We just felt the property was not up to par, was not properly cleaned or maintained and could have been better. The only thing we enjoyed about this condo was the view and close proximity to the beach.

I took my daughter and two of her sorority sisters for spring break. I was looking for peace and quiet and the girls wanted action. We got the best of both worlds. The townhouse is literally a short walk to the beach. Even during spring break the only people on "our" beach were the other residents of the complex. A short walk down the beach is island Sea resort where there were water activities, spring breakers and wifi. The townhouse itself was in wonderful shape, clean, comfortable and supplied with everything you need in a home. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was an added benefit. The Bahamian people are wonderful. I slept in the master which faces the ocean. Imagine going to sleep and awakening with the sound of the surf. Who needs a TV? Basically, you can do as much or as little as you choose for activities and this home is the place to do it in. I will definitely return and take advantage of island hospitality.

We were struggling to get a place for the first week of our holiday - somewhere suitable for my mother-in-law who has a walking disability. It was very hard to find something on the level so we were over the moon to find out this property was available. The accommodation was lovely with every type of kitchen appliance for our use. The downside was the downstairs bedroom, the double bed could be folded away in a cupboard but for our stay was down - there was a gap at the back of the bed and the bed was rather small. This was also a small dark room and the ambience of the other rooms was not replicated here. As my mother-in-law couldn't manage the stairs she had to sleep in this room, it was a bit disappointing - that's all. Another useful addition would be handrails in the downstairs shower to enable disabled holidaymakers to be more independent. We had a very pleasant stay - the locals were so friendly with lovely food (eg fresh lobster) available from the shack on the beach. The owners were so helpful with all the information they sent before we arrived. The "spring breakers" were next door at the resort and although they had some noisey moments, they did not affect our enjoyment of the surroundings. Although not ideal for bone fishing my husband persevered and managed to catch (and return) a few bonefish. If you like pancakes go to Becky's!!

This was our 4th visit to Grand Bahama and by far the best accomodations. The view from the condo was superb and the sound of the surf tranquil. We could not have asked for a better location,so close to the beach and close to Port Lucaya. The condo was clean,comfortable and had everything we needed. We can't wait to return and stay in your unit again.

My family & I stayed in the oceanfront 2 bedroom during March break. The condo was beautiful and very well equipped. The beach that this property is situated on is absolutely stunning! The neighbours (other condo owners or long term renters) were extremely friendly and very helpful. Just a short taxi or bus ride to Lucaya Market or grocery store. Safety was never a concern and the property is well lit in the evening. If you are looking for hustle & bustle and lots of nightlife - this isn't the place for you! If you are looking for a relaxing, stressfree getaway with turquoise waters, beautiful white sand beach and perhaps a spot to do a little fishing - this IS the place for you!! My two teen boys (aged 14 & 16) absolutely loved it! We'll definitely be back!! :)

Me, my family and a close friend stayed here during the Christmas Holidays. It was by far the best vacation we ever had. It was like a home away from home and everyone was friendly and helpful. The beach is a jump away and the sun rise and sun sets were a "must see". This is the place to be if you are visiting Freeport. We will be back, that is for sure!!!!!
