Hale Pohaku is located just a few seconds' walk from Poipu Beach
Location: Private Homes, Poipu, South Shore, Kauai, Hawaii, USA (Less Than A Minute's Walk From The Ocean at Poipu Kauai)
Accommodations: 5 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 3 Baths (Sleeps 12)
Keywords: Renovated Plantation Home
The Manager's House at Hale Pohaku Beach Village is a fully renovated authentic plantation home from the 1950s. This 2500 square foot home has five bedrooms total (3 with queens, 2 with pairs of twin beds that can be made into kings), along with three bathrooms.
Two additional twin rollaway beds and two cribs are available as well at no extra charge.
Ocean views abound from the living room and screened in lanai (patio).
The large kitchen includes a full sized range and refrigerator, dishwasher, and a private washer and dryer. We've included every small appliance we could think of, including rice cookers, slow cookers, blenders, mixers, toasters, coffee makers, hair dryers, and irons (with ironing boards).
The floors of this fully-renovated 1950s plantation home are the original beautifully well kept hardwood planks. The banquet style dining room seats eight to ten, while the kitchen features both a large breakfast bar and another table and chair seating for four. An additional dining area on the screened lanai, next to the large outdoor barbeque grill, allows you to enjoy your dinner al fresco, while taking in the glorious Poipu sunsets.
The kitchen includes a gas stove and oven, cookware, plates and utensils, and a full-sized dishwasher. We've done our best to provide you with just about every appliance you could need, including a thermal carafe coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, blender, hand mixer, iron (and ironing board) and hair dryer. Adjacent to the kitchen is the full-sized washer and dryer.
One bathroom includes a tiled tub/shower combination, while the other two have shower stalls. All shower areas feature handheld attachments.
There are lots of windows throughout letting in the gentle trade winds that will keep you comfortable year round. All rooms feature ceiling fans.
All our guests are greeted upon arrival with bottled water, and Hawaii coffee and tea, for your first morning's breakfast. In addition, we supply the bathrooms with toiletries.
Staying at Hale Pohaku is like spending your vacation in your own private vacation village.
Within our gated half-acre village resort are two fully restored 2 bedroom/1 bath historic plantation cottages, a third larger cottage built to mimic the other two, as well as the Manager's House. Only a minute's walk from the pristine white sandy beaches of Poipu, you'll be lulled to sleep every night by the waves, and awaken every morning to the gentle sea breezes.
With a private swimming pool just for our guests, lush tropical landscaping and large grassy yard, Hale Pohaku is an ideal holiday choice for family reunions, a Kauai honeymoon or a family vacation and at much better rates than what you will find in the South Shore hotels.
