Why the Owner Chose Hood River
I use to live in much larger cities and coming to Hood River is the perfect mix of small town and progressive attitudes. My husband chose this house a few years ago because he liked living close to town without all the noise. He has owned property on Cascade St and State St, and he found both locations to be very busy and noisy in the summer months.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This property is a quick walk or ride to downtown or Indian Creek Trail. While some guests might be out sailing or kiting, other guests can enjoy the hikes, the town, or the quiet neighborhoods without having a second car. We provide 2 adult bikes to cruise around the area.
Nextdoor to our home is Wilson Park, it is a quaint neighborhood park with swings and other kid friendly features. The back yard is perfect for those who travel with a dog. The area is enclosed and has shade and lots of grass. The back door has a doggie door installed. The small garage is perfect for gear storage such as windsurf boards/sails.
Owner's Map of Hood River
This photo was taken near Mosier on Seven Mile Road - a very popular spot to bike ride from Hood River. I love to hike and spend time with my dogs and husband, but not always in that order. Everytime I venture into the Gorge, I find new and wonderful areas to explore. My husband windsurfs, and I don't; sometimes people come to this area, with the idea to 'just' kite or sail, but that's the beauty of Hood River, it offers some of the best mountian biking, hiking and kayaking in the world. Enjoy your stay. We look forward to your visit.
