If you want a safe, convenient, beautiful place to enjoy a vacation with friends and family, this is it. Latimer Point is a secluded and friendly community of cottages and year 'round homes, on a private peninsula right on Fisher's Island Sound. You have beautiful views, of Fisher's and Mason's Island, and Latimer Light. You see sail boats and other boats going by all day long.
There is a small, child friendly beach in two minute walking distance, and clearly visible from the house. A common green with swings and playing areas is directly across the street. Children of all ages play on this green all day long, and ride their bikes along safe, quiet streets. The water is lovely, the beach is sandy, waves are small. The swimming area is marked with buoys, and there is a raft in easy swimming distance for adults and older children.
Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, the Mystic Drawbridge and restaurants and shops are minutes away. Both Mohegan Sun and Mashentuckett Piquot casinos as well as Rhode Island Beaches are a half an hour away. You are an hour from Hartford, New London, and Providence; two hours from Boston.
Our entire extended family has been enjoying Latimer Point for generations, and our best childhood memories are here. This is a great place to bring friends and family for a wonderful vacation.

I am a resident of Southeastern Connecticut all my life. Several family members also own homes at Latimer Point. I bought this home intending it as my primary residence in retirement.

This is a small friendly community of families. My son was raised here. We can fish, swim, boat, and enjoy sunsets and friendships, all within a stone's throw of the ocean.
