Our beach block house on East 16th Street in Avalon is the 5th house from the beach so kids can make the short walk to the beach without having to cross a street. We are located at one of the best locations in town because in addition to being on the beach block we are also a close walk to town for shopping and restaurants. The house is well maintained and very clean - not your typical beach vacation rental house since we live in it for July and August. Much of it has been recently painted including a few bed rooms as well as the deck.
There is a view of the ocean from the front deck - a large portion of the front deck is covered making for a great escape from the sun to read or take a nap but still have the full side and back open for sun bathing. We have a natural gas grill all hooked up with gas along with a table and 6 chairs on the back deck for eating outside. The back yard is fenced in which is great for younger kids, but sorry no pets.
Our home is a typical beach upside down house with the family room / dining room / kitchen on the second floor. The Master bed with king bed and guest room with queen bed and crib are also on the second floor. We have two bed rooms on the first floor with a total of five single beds in them. We also have a downstairs den with TV/VCR/DVD, couch and loveseat, and some toys that is great for the kids. The couch is also large enough to comfortably sleep an adult. We have beds for 9 people plus a crib and another can sleep on a couch if needed.
The upstairs family room has another TV/DVD player and Bose stereo system with a cord from the Aux jack to handle your iPod if you have one. The family room and all bedrooms have fans and the house has central air conditioning.
We are sure you will like our summer home.

Year Purchased: 2004
We bought this home so our children could grow up living at the beach in the summer. We are a family of six with three boys and one girl. We live in Northern New Jersey during the year.
Why the Owner Chose Avalon
We love Avalon and our extended family has been summering in Avalon for many many years. The location is one of the best in town because it is on the beach block and yet still walking distance to town.
