Great place to stay for a great price

My wife and I stayed here for a little over a week in the middle of May and it was perfect for our vacation. The condo was very clean and worked great for our needs. Along with beach towels there was a large blanket that can be used on the beach, two beach chairs, and snorkel equipment (minus the fins) for two. Located in the hotel are two restaurants, one one the second floor and one on the first floor. The burgers on the first floor restaurant (Teddy Burgers i think) were amazing. We had a rental car which we parked about a block away at the Banyan hotel for 10 dollars a night or 60 a week. Its cheaper than parking in at the Waikiki Grand (18 bucks a night). But there are bus stops close by and you can walk to everything there on Waikiki. The only thing that kind of bugged us was that we were serenaded every night and morning by the neighbors birds (parrots we think). It was kind of entertaining after a while because they would imitate our whistles and the beeping of a backing up truck in the distance. Nothing to drive people away and I dont know if they are permanent residents or not but just wanted to share the info. In all we would really recommend choosing a condo that is privately owned over paying full price in a hotel. Its a great deal and we loved being able to cook our own breakfast and put use the fridge for leftovers. Thanks again for providing such a great place to spend a vacation!
Owner response:Aloha: Thank you for all of the kind words and your objective perspective. We are very proud of all of our units and try to give our guests and travelers a great value. You are right, renting a privately owned condominium is very different than renting a hotel room. There are owner occupants, long term tenants and vacationers in this building. All of which make it a very unique place with so many options. Thank you again. We look forward to your return visit, Steve, Property Manager

Stayed in this unit for 2 weeks. I really enjoyed my stay. The unit was very nicely appointed and comfortable. I enjoyed the private lanai - but when I wanted to shutout the outside noise--all I had to do close the sliding glass door and draw the nice heavy curtains and it was very quiet. With the quiet combined with the comfy bed--I had to watch that I did not over sleep (lol). I hope I get to stay here again next year. I would also like to thank Steve High for being such a great host during my stay--I only had two concerns during my stay and they were taken care of immediately by Steve. I also very much appreciate your follow up call to me (Steve)-you can be assured that I will highly recommend you to my friends and associates! Nevin, you have a very nice place and thanks for the help with internet access. Sincerely, Arthur

Honestly, I was a little nervous about renting from a website based rental company, because I have never done that before. But, the instant I arrived at my destination I was instantly pleased. It was clean, well-maintained and was exactly what I was expecting initially. Everything was great, my husband and I loved being near Waikiki beach as well as the bus access was really convenient.
Owner response:Aloha: Thanks you for all of the kind words about our unit at the Waikiki Grand Hotel. Your business is very much appreciated by all of us in Waikiki. Keep us in mind for your next trip to Waikiki. Returning guests pay for 6 nights and receive the 7th free. Once again, thank you. Steve

We stayed here for 11 nights in July, the accommodation is modern, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Waikiki beach is right on your door step, and even as busy as waikiki is, the accommodation is situated on a quiet road overlooking a park towards diamond head. The owner Nevin is a pleasure to deal with, I highly recommend this condo for your trip to Oahu.

We had a great time, everything as promised, Nevin is very accomodating, the location is so close to the fun, the pictures are accurate. If I were to stay in Waikiki again I would not hesitate to book here. and most important all transactions including our security deposit refund went perfectly smooth.

Stayed in the room 9 nights with 2 people total. Had a great time. Loved the location of the hotel. Loved the key less door lock, never had to worry about loosing or forgetting a key to the room. We did not have a car at all. There are 2 bus stops with in 60 seconds of the hotel, was able to take the bus anywhere we wanted to go. But most days just walked across the street to the beach. Also was able to walk to the grocery store (safeway) which was a little over a mile away for all my grocery needs. Condo owner was great to deal with and made everything very easy.

The whole point of my trip to Waikiki was to get away from it all and this location definitely did the trick. While the room itself doesn't really have a view, all you have to do is is hit the sun deck or better yet just walk out of the hotel. The zoo is literally across the street which is filled with dense trees and Diamond Head directly behind it giving you that pseudo forrest feel that i was looking for. At the same time, you have a great view of the beach which is just a block away from the hotel. Great thing about the location is that the street doesnt have too much traffic flowing through it so it gives you a bit of an isolation feel but turning the corner puts you right into the heart of Waikiki. It's only blocks away from the stores, bars (Lulu's is right on the corner), and night clubs. While the room is on the small side its very functional and perfect for 1 or 2 people. He did a great job furnishing the place and the bed is amazing....need to get that mattress for myself but I digress...Had a couple of guests who were all impressed by the room as well. I highly recommend it.

I usually look for condos instead of hotel rooms so that I can eat some meals in and make my own coffee. Studio 505 at the Waikiki Grand in Waikiki is one of the nicest condos I have rented in Hawaii. Although small, the space has been very nicely furnished and decorated and it is obvious much thought went into how to best utilize space. There is a flat screen TV and highspeed internet and a full refrigerator with a large microwave and 2 stove top burners. The location cannot be beat and it is very quiet. While there is a nice lanai, it is not on the "view" side of the building if that is important to you, but you will not find anything with a view that is this nice for anything close to this price. Overall highly recommended.

I was surprised to find such a good deal during the holidays in Waikiki. I thought there would be a catch, but there wasn't. The studio is literally one block from the beach. It was very comfortable and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the flat screen tv was great. We stayed for a week and really felt at home during that time. The owner, Nevin, is very friendly. All in all it was a great experience and recommend any single individuals or couples to stay there.

I was out in Oahu for 10 days and this little studio played a big part of my great stay. Perfect for one and easily comfortable for two. No deception here, what you see in the photos is what you get. The studio is well-maintained and clean. Location is close to everything, right across from the Honolulu Zoo and a block from the beach. The kichenette is perfect for reheating leftovers or to cook your own food for a meal in, everything you need is right there and provided. There is complimentary broadband internet available, which is great to have. An onsite laundry facility makes things incredibly convenient, pack light and you can wash what you need Nevin was very attentive and was always available when you had any questions. I will definitely be keeping this place in mind for my next stay and recommending it to friends. Thanks to Nevin for a great visit!
