Our home is an upside down New England Salt box. On the ground floor you come into a gracious entrance. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths on that level. The MBR has a king size bed, private bath with shower, and an air conditioner. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has 2 sets of bunks. There is a hall bath with tub/shower. There is also a laundry area.
Upstairs is one large great room with soaring ceilings and a ceiling fan. The kitchen cabinets are white with stainless steel appliances. The counters are granite. There is an eat-in island with butcher block. The dining area has a large farm table, and a pine hutch. The living area has comfortable seating. There is a TV in the armor. There is a game table, board games, and plenty of books.
2 sets of French doors lead out to the upstairs deck, with an outdoor dining table, 2 lounge chairs, and a gas grill.You look out over conservation land of the Madequacham Valley and the Ocean.
The house sits on over 1 acre of land, with a large private lawn. We have adirondeck chairs and a hammock. Perfect for playing or relaxing.

Year Purchased: 1999
My husband and I,along with our three daughters, have been vacationing on Nantucket for 20 years. We rented on the island for 10 years. It was always our dream to have our own home on this magical island. That dream came true on my 40th birthday (which gives you an idea of what birthday I will be celebrating this summer on Nantucket!).
My girls grew up summering in this house. We have wonderful memories of sunny summer days at the beach, long bike rides rewarded with an icecream in Sconset, clear evenings grilling fresh fish caught just hours earlier, followed by gazing up at the milky way (there are not alot of places left where one can do that). The air is the cleanest air I have ever breathed.

We love Nantucket, and believe we have one of the nicest spots on the island. It is not that well known, which makes our beach and the surrounding conservation land a true find!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Whenever we are "stressed out", we just think about our time in Nantucket. The perfect day is waking up to a beautiful sunrise, eating breakfast on the deck while looking out toward the ocean, going for a run on one of the beautiful paths near our home, or a bike ride on the polpis trail, having a picnic lunch on our beach (with cape cod potato chips, of course), swimming in the clear blue ocean, napping on our pristine beach,going out for a wonderful dinner at one of Nantuckets many world-class restaurants, and coming home to relax under a star-filled sky.
