Wonderful Family Home, GREAT LOCATION!!! You will find yourself feeling "at home" in this comfortable Tahoe home with all the essentials for a wonderful family vacation. Located near Carnelian Bay this home is on a beautiful lot surrounded by evergreen trees a perfect for all seasons! The home is available for Weekly rentals.
Located on Tahoe's north shore in beautiful Agate Bay. This is a lovely residential area with open spaces surrounded by trees. Private tennis courts are across the street. In the summer guests have access to a shared pier, buoys (available with advance reservations) a community swimming pool, hot tub, picnic and lawn area, sand volleyball court, and tennis courts. Beaches are only a couple of miles away. The pool and hot tub are open mid-June - Labor day. (The shared community features -pool, hot tub, tennis courts, picnic area, volleyball are all exclusive membership benefits which are not available to all Agate Bay homes).
In the winter you can be at Northstar, Squaw Valley, Diamond Peak and Homewood Ski Resorts 20 - 30 minutes away. North Lake Tahoe Stateline (Gambling)is 5 minutes away and South Lake Tahoe Stateline is 30 minutes away.
The sleeping configurations of this five bedroom, three bath home is: One King with a private bath in a private area upstairs over the garage, 2 bedrooms with Queens and a shared bath on the ground floor, 1 Queen and a kids room with 1 bunk and two twins and a shared bath upstairs. Two bathrooms have tub and shower and one bath has shower stall only. Total sleeping in beds 12! (Please inquire for more photos!)
The living room features open vaulted ceilings and a wood burning stove. Enjoy a warm and wonderful family area with two leather sofas, sitting chair with ottoman, circular game table, TV, DVD and VCR. In the mornings you will enjoy sunny forest views from the living room sitting area.
A full feature kitchen has upgraded microwave, gas stove and oven, refrigerator, freezer, ice maker and dishwasher. Movable chef island for cooking and entertaining. Train Tressel Table sits 8 - 10 persons. The gas grill is located on the back deck where you can enjoy outdoor dinning in the summer on a picnic table with benches. Come outdoors to enjoy a book on the deck on one of the lounge chairs.
There is ample parking in the driveway and garage parking. If you have a boat or boat trailer it can be accommodated. You may want to move those cars sometimes and enjoy the basketball hoop!

This house is Tahoe! From the woodsy setting - which not only includes the tall pines, but a beautiful deck and a hand-carved, two person rocker - this home is perfect for those who want to experience the REAL Tahoe. IF you're on vacation to have some fun and relax, then this home can provide that as well. Across the street are the tennis courts and just a few blocks away is the pool, complete with a volleyball court and a hot tub (there's also a snack bar for the kids). For those vacationers who prefer the cool, clean beauty of Lake Tahoe, there's also a private dock with a small beach. This is the perfect place to jump off the pier, lay in the sun, enjoy a book and watch the boats go buy. Bring a picnic lunch and relax for the afternoon. Just a few miles down the highway is the Stateline...gamble, shop, or visit the historic CAL-NEVA where the Rat Pack use to hangout. With three families, we never had to field any complaints...the kids were either at the beach, pool, tennis courts, or riding the the mountain bike trails - which are literally at the end of the street. A vacation to remember...this is the place to make it happen.

My family and friends rented this Lake Tahoe property for 1 week in July. The location is perfect- within minutes we were in Kings Beach or Carnelian Bay. The house was comfortable, plenty of space for the 8 adults and dog. We spent a majority of the time sitting on the front and back porches playing cards, board games and cooking. Another great perk was the proximity to 3 tennis courts right across the street! I would come back anytime, and am looking forward to a 2011 trip!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Just returned with our family from a week's stay at a very comfortable home away from home. Our 3 adult children, their spouses and our grandkids all enjoyed having rooms to themselves and access to the club facilities--including crawdad fishing off the pier. The layout of the house is is especially good for keeping the noise level in check--a bonus for large families, and with teenage grandgirls, having a third bathroom for their use made life easier for all . Happily, the listing description and photos were totally accurate, the property was immaculate and well-maintained, and the owners were extremely responsive to any questions that we had. We have been renting homes in Agate Bay for 30 years, and would definitely return to this property.
