Arnold, particularly Blue Lake Springs, is a great family friendly area. It has all the beauty and activities of Tahoe without the crowds and high prices.
Our cabin is nestled on a large private forested lot where we can hardly see our neighbors. The house features a brick fireplace with wood insert, vaulted ceilings, lots of windows and knotty pine. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking. We keep the house very clean and all furnishings are modern and in perfect condition. (This is NOT a 1960's leftover cabin!) Out on the deck you have a great view of the towering trees. The house is family and kid friendly. It is comfortably furnished but not so fancy that you can't kick back and relax.
The house stays toasty warm in the winter with forced air gas heat and the fireplace insert. Two bedrooms on the main level have one king bed and one queen bed. The loft area has two bunk beds with full size beds on the bottom and twins on the top. The game room downstairs has TV, Nintendo Game Cube, and a Foosball table. There are two full baths.
Blue Lake Springs has a top-notch clubhouse facility with two private lakes, a restaurant, pool, tennis, etc. Renters have guest priviledges for a small fee. There are also private and public golf courses very close by. This is a great area to visit in both summer and winter for lots activities. If you like life a little quieter, visit in the fall or spring.
Arnold is at 4000 feet so we do get snow in the winter but it is pretty easy to get in and out.

Why the Owner Chose Arnold
Arnold, CA is one of the best kept secrets. It has all the beauty of Tahoe without the crowds and crazy prices. It is a true "mountain town." We love it and we don't have to sit in traffic all day just to get up the hill!
Blue Lake Springs has it all. It is a beautiful neighborhood area with two golf courses, and a great club house facility with two lakes, a pool, basketball, tennis, etc. It is a family-friendly place with fun activites (fishing, outdoor movies, BBQs) planned during the summer months.
For winter fun and lots of snow, snow parks, sledding, and Bear Valley Ski resort are just up the hill.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The house has a great layout for one or two families. The kids can have their own space downstairs in the game room while adults can watch their own TV or movies on the main level. Or, better yet, enjoy a nice glass of wine on the upper deck. Arnold has a small town feel and Murphys and Sonora are close by with great shopping and restaurants.
