With not knowing the layout of St. Thomas, I would say that Cabrita Point (and this condo!) is the perfect location! It was quiet, breathtakingly beautiful, serene... everything one could hope for in a caribbean vacation! The condo was literally 10' from the water.. sitting on the porch in the morning enjoying a cup of joe was one of our favorite experiences! Every night we were serenaded to sleep with the sounds of the ocean...ahhh to go back!! Thank you Kim and Peter for an unforgettable experience... we will definitely be back and recommend you to others. Hakuna Matata =D

My boyfriend and I stayed at Kim & Peter's condo for 3 nights and had a wonderful time!!!! The condo was very clean and stocked with everything you could need and more!! The ocean breeze and view from the condo were amazing! The condo is in close proximity to great snorkeling and not far from Red Hook, which has some great restaurants, bars and shops! If you are looking for a home away from home, with a better view, this place is for you!!! Casey & Alex

My wife and I stayed at this great little condo this past January. Peter and Kim were awesome people to rent from. They were quick to respond to emails and were super easy to deal with. The condo over all provides you with everythign you need to enjoy yourself. If you forgot anything they probally had it there for you to use. The view from your room is fantastic. Also this place is really close to Red Hook and some great places to go while you are there. The only draw back was that each condo had 1 parking spot in front of each condo, however it seemed like everyday there was a condo that occupied 2 spots, taking ours. I did say something to Kim and Peter about this and it seemed like they would figure something out to fix this problem. It was a minor issue and would not deter us from renting from them again....

Well located. Clean, updated condo. Great view. Great price. Close to restaurants and beaches. Helpful, available owner. I would absolutely rent this condo again, and I would recommend it to friends and relatives. I was there in January 2012 with my adult daughter. I had the comfortable bed. She had the large,comfortable fold out couch bed. She's very picky and didn't complain a bit. Well appointed kitchen. Nice bathroom with shower. Beach chairs, snorkel equipment, beach towels, combination safe, ceiling fans, air conditioning, closet with plenty of coat hangers, TV with DVD player, lots of DVDs in the room, books, dining table seats four. Patio with lounge chairs and table.

Choose Redhook over Charlotte

If you are looking for island atmosphere, and the best East End snorkeling, start here. Less than a quarter mile, you can walk down to either bay of Cabrita point and snorkel. If the surf is high on one side, it is always calm on the other. Cabrita is a quick drive, walk, or taxi ride to the laid back island town and marina of Redhook. Redhook has great bars, food, and shopping. Check out Duffy's Love Shack and get you a souvenir you will remember. Your hosts provide everything you need, even if you did not want to bring a beach towel and snorkeling gear. They were also very accommodating about check in and check out. So, sit back and relax, and wake up the sound of waves crashing outside your window.

If you like falling asleep with a warm breeze, the sound of waves crashing outside your window, and enjoy amazing views of the landscape, pelicans, geckos, and hummingbirds this is the place for you. We arrived on the Sunday before our wedding and were welcomed with open arms by Peter and Kim. Besides information that they had provided in the condo they were beyond helpful and gave us great tips about where to eat and what to see. The location is within walking distance to beaches and Red Hook is a short twenty minute jaunt. We couldn't have been happier with our experience there! Thank you Peter and Kim, you helped make our trip one to remember!!!!

We were in St. Thomas for my son's wedding. It was wonderful having the family between 4 condos at Cabrita By the Sea! An excellent get away, off the beaten path, quiet and very relaxing. Kim and Peter's place was awesome with all the touches of home! Spices for cooking (although we only cooked once), but the ice cream was a welcome addition. The bed was wonderful (I'd always wanted to try a memory foam bed). Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!

My boyfriend took me to the USVI for my 30th birthday...this was truly a relaxing and beautiful vacation. It was extremely affordable and stress-free!!!! Peter and Kim were wonderful and provided a beautiful condo with all of the comforts of home! We LOVED snorkeling at the sandy white beach just a two minute walk from the condo (almost entirely private- hardly anyone there)! The condo itself sits just a few feet from the ocean and I can't tell you how wonderful it was to fall asleep and wake up every morning looking out onto the ocean and hearing the waves and the breeze RIGHT THERE! Sipping coffee and reading books on the balcony was a dream come true. We really got the vacation we were looking for! We also found it easy to catch a cab/safari around the island and frequented Red Hook for an evening or two out. Everything was just wonderful and I can't say enough about it! I can’t' wait to go back!

We just spent ten amazing days at Kim and Peter's place. Absolutely nothing was lacking. We were already content when I realized that I had missed many of the little extras that were available to us until I was packing up this morning. The trip was a dream come true for us after 31 years of marriage. We had high hopes and expectations and all were met! Cabrita Point is exactly as the listing describes...EXCEPT that words on a computer screen cannot create the feel of the ocean breeze or the sound of the waves as they roll only feet from the deck. Each morning we sat on the super comfortable deck furniture sipping coffee while watching humming and sugar birds, and the numerous boats leaving Red Hook. The Bose speakers were usually playing the iPod music that we had loaded up for the trip. ( the selection of CDs and DVDs there were great too) Watching a movie in bed at the end of a day in the sun was perfect for us. ( Are you getting the idea that the "quieter east end" is a great fit for us?) The bed is very comfortable with plenty of extra bedding if needed. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We cooked in for breakfast and some suppers. But, I think that renters need to try Duffys, Fish Tales and Molly Malones in Red Hook! This was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. We were able to snorkel at many different beaches from Cabrita Point. (Secret Harbor is very close and had great snorkeling) We had a couple of adventures driving off the beaten path. (not exactly recommending that!) The ferry to St John is right in Red Hook, which makes this location great even for those who want to spend time on that island as well. We went over three different times with no problem. One day we hiked a trail to a secluded beach there. The ferry ride back at the end of those days was a real treat. Our afternoon of shopping in Charlot Amalie was actually our low point! Next time, I don't expect that we will need to go back there until we go to the airport to return home! The east end is very quiet and Red Hook is a tiny little island community of restaurants, bars and a handful of gift shops. The Cabrita Point complex is comfortable and unassuming. Kim and Peter felt like long lost friends to us. We look forward to keeping in touch in the years to come as Cabrita By the Sea will certainly become a regular spot for us to rejuvenate our souls. I almost hate to share it with the VRBO readers!

Decided last minute to take a quick beach vacation to the Virgin Islands. Luckily, I found Kim and Peter's condo and am so thankful I did. They were so helpful during my entire trip and even offered rides into town when they were heading that way. The condo is in great condition and is just what you see in the pictures. I enjoyed it's location and being my first time to the island I was so thankful for how easily I could contact Kim or Peter to ask questions and get information from. I will definitely get in touch with them next time I head back to St. Thomas. Thanks again.

We just got back from our honeymoon in the USVI and we LOVED our experience!! Kim and Peter are very understanding and caring. Our flight was delayed by one day, and they gave us our money back for that one night. The pictures of the condo online look exactly like the real thing. It was right on the water, very clean, and had all of the small things that we did not have to waste space on packing. For example, the condo includes towels, washcloths, sheets, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, q-tips, and the list goes on. They have also put together a welcome guide for their visitors. The guide includes places to eat, attractions, maps, beaches, directions for things in the condo, etc. This was very helpful for us. If we make it back to the USVI we will contact Kim and Peter again!!

The description and photos of this condo exactly describe it! The condo was clean, clean, clean! Also, John and I were happy to find that the condo was well stocked with a variety of books and DVDs and CDs. We were also pleasantly suprised to find a large variety of spices and such in the kitchen. doesnt sound like a big deal, but it is when you don't have them! The condo is designed to make the most of the breezes and we slept with the windows open every night. apparently this used to be a resort, but the tennis court and pool are now defunct. All the condo buildings, however, seemed to be in excellent shape and there is plenty of parking. We would definitely recommended this beautiful spot to friends!

We couldn't have asked for a better place for our 1st time to St. Thomas. Perfect area and atmosphere for us. My husband & I enjoy peace & quiet & wanted a quiet place to relax. We picked St. Thomas because its an island paradise that we could actually get out & visit instead of being confined to the resort like some islands. We weren't disappointed.Our condo really made the trip for us. It was our home away from home. It was everything we expected & more, we knew we made the right choice, it was exactly as they had said on Vrbo. The condo was equipped with everything we needed; snorkel gear, towels, beach towels, extra sheets, kitchen equipment, DVDs, CDs, 1080p tv, Bose system, & books. We were lucky that others had left behind shampoo, sunscreen and other toiletries as I left a bag at home by accident. There were also some spices and teas left behind that we used.Also as other reviews have stated Kim & Peter are the best! They are so kind and accommodating. When we first arrived the were waiting for us. They showed us the unit & complex. Since we didn't rent a car they very kindly offered to drive us to Red Hook to show us the trails to use to walk there, the market in town & restaurants. This was an added bonus that made us feel welcome. They also were super responsive when we lost power later in our stay. It was the power company's fault, we lost power for about 12 hours. Luckily we were gone the whole day, soon after we returned Peter was at the unit with fresh water and his assistance with anything we might need. On our last day after the walk thru, Peter kindly took us to Red Hook to better catch a taxi to the airport.I'd like to recommend a few things if you are staying here; if you are not renting a car bring good walking shoes. The walk to Red Hook is lovely but can be long and hot if you brought the wrong shoes. My blistered feet from my plastic flip flops on the first day can attest to that! Try walking to the Elysian resort through the Ritz property. We loved Roberts Grille & the beach is nice. There wasn't a crowd there so we got away with using their beach chair & the beach waiters were so kind. If walking go thru the Ritz & ask an employee for directions they're super nice, We also recommend Vessup beach, It was perfect, had decent snorkeling & during the week we had it almost completely to ourselves, it really is only 5 mins away. Our stay was fantastic. The condo was clean, spacious, and conveniently located. It was so nice to wake up every morning to hear the ocean right outside. Kim and Peter were wonderful, kind hosts. We arrived Saturday and were very excited to see the location of the unit and the amenities. The unit had everything you could possibly want for comfortable living. In addition to the basics the were lots of DVD's and plenty of good music and books to enjoy. The view from the terrace was fabuluous. We totally enjoyed having our morning coffie on the terrace with the "sugar birds and humming birds" Our host and hostess were wonderful and gave us great tips about where to go and what to do. We found the location to be perfect for the places we wanted to go. We would highly recommend this condo to all and hope to get back there for another visit very soon.

GREAT rental for the money!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in November. It was a perfect time of year. The condo and views are just like in the photos. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was efficient and we used it. The first night Kim gave us a ride into town to buy some groceries. The walk to the Ritz beach was easy and fast, we spent most our time there snorkeling and laying on the beach. The snorkel equipment they offer in the Condo wasn't half bad. We bought a couple spendy sets before we went and didn't have to used them! If you have the funds, a car rental would help you explore more of the island because taxis are expensive and we were on a budget. We did the walk to Red Hook once, and it wasn't bad, however not something to do at night. Over all, for travelers on a budget wanting luxurious views, this is the place. must have items to bring: mosquito spray snacks from home, island living is pricey sunscreen Enjoy!

My Perfect Little Honeymoon Hideaway!

My new hubby and I stayed here for 6 days after our destination wedding. It was exactly what we needed. It was cozy and secluded. The view was always amazing, no matter what time of day, and there is nothing quite like waking up to the sounds of the waves right outside your window. The condo was exactly as the pictures show. Kim & Peter are fabulous people, just wonderful and nice. Thank you guys for sharing this beautiful place with us. We miss it so much! I would absolutely recommend this condo if you're looking for something quiet, beautiful, and right on the water. There is not a better value on the whole island. Just some suggestions: I would suggest renting a car if you're not fond of walking. We walked into Red Hook three times. Make sure you take the path that cuts through the national park, don't take the road! Once you're in town you can catch the $2 bus and go into Charlotte Amalie, much cheaper than a taxi. Also, we walked to the Ritz one night for dinner (right up the beach, again...don't try to take the roads) , they've got several restaurants on their property that are open to non-guests.

I stayed here recently for a few days and had a great time. I'm not used to the heat and humidity, so it was nice to have something right on the beach with a nice breeze. The beach at the condo is pretty rocky and not really suitable for just walking out onto, but there are some really nice sandy beaches only 5-10 minutes away by foot. The owners were really nice. Intros and cash were exchanged, and I didn't hear from them until it was time to leave. The town of Red Hook readlly doesn't amount to much, but that's fine with me. It's a pretty remote area of the island.

No complaints to speak of. The condo had everything we needed for the week long stay. Hearing the waves breaking just outside your window was wonderful and relaxing. There were even two deer by the condo one night. Kim and Peter were very friendly and helpful. The walk to Redhood was pleasant. The Ritz beach is right by the condo and had some great snorkeling as well.

We rented this property in April 2010 for a week. We were pregnant with twins at the time and needed to take that last getaway. The property was perfect for a romantic vacation. So relaxing and out of the way. The condo was just the right size for us. Kim and Peter were great;they helped us with find restuarants and made suggestions for beaches to visit. The condo came equpped with beach chairs and a cooler. The beach is within walking distance.The deck was thoroughly enjoyed, the condo is right on the water! The condo was clean and well appointed. the condo is close to Red Hook,shopping and the beaches. It may be a few years before Jeff and I can return, but when we do we will be calling Kim and Peter for a rental.

Great condo for a great price. Just spent 5 days here. No complaints. Peter and Kim are very nice. Peter showed us around when we got there - we did not have a car, so he showed us how to walk to town and where the nearby beaches were. The place is a little out of the way, so if you want to go to town a lot or around the island, or if you don't walk well, you might want to rent a car. The condo was very clean and was fully equipped with everything you could need. The pictures are a very accurate depiction.

Thanks again to Peter and Kim for taking such great care of us during our trip and allowing us to rent their condo! What a wonderful location and view! Very reasonably priced, clean and comfortable unit with many extras. Be sure to bring a GPS or an iphone with maps app. because the roads aren't marked very well and you're driving on the wrong side of the road!

We had the pleasure of renting this heavenly condo in the last week of Jan '10. It is as perfect as it can be. The view is phenomenal... the place is slightly out of the way, so not much pedestrian or vehicle traffic... but is just 5 mins walk away from Vessup beach. Latitude 18 is a short walk away and highly recommended for the drinks/food/view/location and entertainment. It was very nice to meet Peter and Kim! Renting from them was a breeze. They sent tips on transport from airport, as well as a lot of handy tips for first timers to VI. The condo is cozy, well furnished, and well stocked. We loved the books and DVD collection, and special thanks for providing water filter, beach chairs, snorkel sets, basic condiments, beach towels... The list is endless. Your condo felt like 'home'. A feeling a hotel room can never provide. Would very highly recommend renting this condo, and look forward to staying here next time we are in town!

Perfect for couples. Private, romantic & cozy. Quiet location convenient to ferry dock, markets, restaurants, and shops in Red Hook. Good base for day trips to St. John & the BVIs. Waterfront property, but beach access is a short walk away. Comfortable & clean. Birds & deer seen daily. Very peaceful. Reasonably priced. Accommodating, friendly hosts.

We decided to stay here on our first trip to St. Thomas, What a value!! Amazing views, including wonderful birds eating off of our balcony all day. Enjoyed Red Hook very much for its night life and great snorkeling and sunbathing during the day. Our room was very clean and affordable with a nice view of the Harbor and St. John. Can't wait to get back, we think about it every day!

This was the best find on our vacation for accommodations. What a view! We were able to lay in bed and enjoy sunrise/ sunset....sit on the deck for endless views and the snorkeling was fantastic. It contained everything we could possibly need. Very clean. Very easy to find and close to marina where we enjoyed several charters. We will make this our yearly getaway. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

We came here on our honeymoon and had an amazing time! Kim and Peter gave us a little rundown of the island and then we didn't here from them again. It was amazing! We love walking so we enjoyed taking the half hour and walking to Red Hook. The Ferry to St John was great!!! I loved going there and the ppl were amazing! But if you can rent a car do! One Lady was very Gracious to us!!! We meet in the driveway and it took off from there! She took us to church with her and to the Airport! She was a very Gracious! We had a misunderstanding of when we were supposed to leave but kim and Peter were very flexible and let us stay for an extra day longer =). Great Value for Anybody!
