This home is beautifully updated and fully equipped for a wonderful family vacation experience. The home is located at 60 Port Tack which is a direct walk/bike ride to the beach (the map can be confusing).
Swim in the new pool, fish from the bank of the freshwater lake and stroll or bike to one of the most beautiful stretches of the white sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Turtles are abundant in the clear water lake.
The kitchen is large and well equipped. Bedrooms are well divided for privacy. Palmetto Dunes has 3 Golf Courses and a world class Tennis Center. It is centrally located on the island with Shelter Cove Marina across the road.

Located within the gated Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort which is one of the finest resort destinations in the world. The resort is nestled on 3 miles of sun-kissed Atlantic Ocean beachfront. Also located within are 3 world-class golf courses, an award winning tennis center and an 11-mile lagoon that invites one to kayak and canoe in a pristine, natural environment with 40 species of birds and fish. Also Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina located across Rte 278 is a part of Palmetto Dunes and features a wide varity of specialty shops, quaint bistros, fine dining and a host of water and other family related and seasonal activities. Hilton Head is known for its many fabulous restaurants with varied cuisine. Additionally, one of our unique stores to visit in Palmetto Dunes is our General Store - almost a step back in time. You can find coke in glass bottles, candy in large jars, as well as breakfast and lunch that can be eaten on the deck. They also have a great assortment of t-shirts, hats, sweat-shirts, ice cream, and coffee, etc. If you need a fish hook, it is here! Located across from Alexanders and the tennis club.

Our family has been going to Hilton Head every summer for the past 15 years and we absolutely love Palmetto Dunes. We have always stayed in nice houses, and this one definitely lived up to every expectation. We were greeted by the realtor on the Saturday we got there and experienced true southern hospitality, and felt so welcome. The house is beautiful, and was a perfect layout for a family of 6 and a black lab. The swimming pool is so nice and gets a ton of sunlight, and our puppy loved swimming in it. The lagoon is directly behind the house is a great spot for alligator and turtle sightings. The walk to the beach is a little long when you're carrying coolers and beach chairs, but the dune buggy will pick you up and drop you off at the beach path. But is a great walk to take your dog to the beach in the morning and evening, and Port Tack is very dog friendly, it seemed like everyone had their dogs with them. We will definitely be back; we loved every minute of it! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The house has wonderful space - 4 bedrooms that are spread out for family comfort. The pool is perfect, and the deck provided plenty of room for deep conversations and endless chatter. Nancy is wonderful. Knowing that she was close to answer all questions or offer suggestions made us feel at home. Palmetto Dunes is the best and Port Tack offers a quiet evening away from the hustle of a crowded summer; yet, it is close enough to bike back and forth to the beach, tennis, an ice cream cone, or a quick sandwich at the Dune's House. The week was wonderful and over too soon!

This is a nice home with plenty of space for a large family like ours. The pool was great. An added plus was the desktop computer with fast internet connection. I would definitely stay here again.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at Water Lover's Dream. The house and surrounding neighborhood are absolutely beautiful. We had 10 people in our party (adults and children) and there was more than enough room for everyone in the house. Palmetto Dunes is centrally located on the island and is convenient to restaurants, stores and activities. Bring or rent bicycles for your stay on the island - there are many bike paths to explore!

What a wonderful time we had. The accomodations were just perfect. The house is tasefully decorated...with just the right touch that made our stay so comfortable. The kitchen is gorgeous. I stayed here the 1st week in May with my family. It's an awesome house. It has lots of ammenities. My kids loved the pool. The location is ideal - it's quiet, with a great view of the lake, but still easy to get to the beach. Palmetto Dunes is great for biking and walking. We felt very much at home, and we'll be coming back again!

Just spent the month of March at this home and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities and location. The house was extremely well-equipped, well maintained and tastefully updated but it also felt like a home away from home. The location on Port Tack was quiet and peaceful with tranquil views of the lagoon at the rear of the property. Excellent location for bike-riding, fishing and golf. The spacious layout of the home is ideal for larger families. Certainly high on our priority list for renting in Palmetto Dunes and excellent value for the money.
