Why pay new Village prices…when you can get it all for less! Stay in this 2 bedroom 2 bath Gold Bend townhome (sleeps 6 with Queen-sized sleeper sofa) less than a half mile walk from the new village, or walk out the door to catch the FREE Northstar shuttle (the ride is just a couple minutes!).
Enjoy the “Rec Center” (Northstar Property Owners Association Recreation Center) with its heated lap pool, 3 large spacious hot tubs, sauna, and a fully equipped gym with locker rooms. In addition, during the summer enjoy the tennis center with 10 courts. Our guests receive full membership privileges at the swim and racquet club during their stay! And don’t forget the 18-hole golf course in the summer.
While at the village, enjoy the outdoor ice-rink with heated seating areas and fire pits (winter) and roller rink (summer) or stroll through the many boutiques, galleries, and specialty shops. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to chose from as well. Most importantly hop on the gondola and enjoy Tahoe’s best skiing and snowboarding in the winter or hiking and mountain biking in the summer.

We stayed at this condo in the summer and it was exactly the kind of place we wanted to stay. We love the village of Northstar and all the amenities but we didn't want to pay the exorbitant fees to stay right in the village. We did our research and knew we wanted to stay in Northstar but wanted to find a good deal. This condo is very close, it's walkable although we did prefer to take the shuttle. It is well-maintained and stocked with all the supplies you would need, like shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, all kitchen utensils you'd need including a toaster, blender, and a coffee maker. Really you just need to bring yourself and whatever food you'd normally get at a grocery store and cook in your own kitchen. We loved the decks off each level and the comfy furniture. It would be great for families, although we went as a group of 30+ year old women on a "girl's weekend" - and it was perfect for us. It isn't super fancy and brand-new, but it is spotless and clean and very functional. Highly recommend!

I just wanted to let you know how great our stay was at this Condo in Northstar. We had a wonderful time and the Condo was just perfect for our family of 4. We have stayed in a few condos at different ski resorts using VRBO and it was great to find a Condo so well looked after and so very very clean. The shuttle service was great, the paths were kept nice and ice free for us and the lounge room was excellent with the fabulous fireplace and comfy lounges...much needed after a big day skiing. Also, want to say that the kitchen was lovely to cook in being so well equipped and spacious. The owners are really great too. Our family highly recommends it. Just a hint for other families...go to Kings Beach for your groceries rather than Truckee. Kings Beach is a bit closer, has a huge Safeway and the view is just beautiful across Lake Tahoe. Would also recommend Rubicon Pizza and Mikuni Japanese in Northstar...both great nights out.
Recommended for:Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

My husband, our two young daughters, and I stayed at this condo for my birthday weekend. It was wonderful to stay somewhere that was stocked with all the amenities of home. The condo was extremely clean and had all the "Tahoe" feeling that I was hoping for. Although we visited in the summer, we could just picture how cozy this condo would be in the winter and we can't wait to get back. Traveling with small children is not always easy, but the accomodations and location of this place were wonderful. The shuttle to and from the Village is a great convenience and fun for the whole family.

We stayed here the 1st week in August 2010 and absolutely LOVED it! The place is in great condition and has everything you would need... they thought of everything..from a fully equipped kitchen to having dishwasher detergent on hand. It was like being at home except you a short walk away from Northstar Village and have breathtaking views your entire stay. The place was very clean and well maintained. They had plenty of extra sheets and towels and we loved having the washer and dryer. Plus, they even had laundry detergent there for our use. How great is that?!?!? We used the amenities of Northstar...the pool, fitness center, etc and they were great. The kids loved the pool and the aracade room. The village of Northstar is very cute with plenty of shops, restaurants and a skating rink in the middle of it all. You can take a free gondola ride to the Ritz Carlton which the kids thought was very cool. Northstar is a great loacation if you are planning on visiting Lake Tahoe. You are 15 minutes from the lake and 10 minutes into the town of Truckee (where you can buy groceries and such). We visited Squaw Valley, Kings Beach, Sand Harbor and Meeks Bay and went rafting down the Truckee River - all no more than a 30 minute drive from Northstar. I would highly recommend this rental...in fact, I already have to all my friends! Enjoy - you will not be disappointed!
