  Perfect location, feel away from it all but within 15 minutes of wineries, restaurants, etc. My wife and I stayed here during the annual Passport Weekend and absolutely loved it! Way better than some cramped, noisy, hotel plus full kitchen, fridge, etc.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  Just got back from a fabulous three day stay at this idyllic vineyard studio near Healdsburg. Ideally situated in the middle of wine-country, this perfectly furnished studio set the tone for our relaxing time in Sonoma. Located on a beautiful property, adjacent and overlooking three acres of Cabernet vines, each day started out with fresh eggs, coffee, and juice from the well equipped kitchenette. Susan's studio is very clean and comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze, and our relaxation was assured with walks in the vineyard and such amenities as internet and satellite TV. This is a place we will look forward to returning to each year.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  We just returned from staying at this property and we had an excellent experience. The accomodations were just as described. Very clean and very nicely appointed. Susan, the owner, was a perfect host. Eggs, cheese, wine, coffee, and other treats were waiting for us. The property is very private and relaxing. The vineyard view, excellent. Many great restaurants just a few minutes away in Healdsburg. We would reccomend this property and would go back in a minute.

  Susan's place filled all our needs for us moms looking for a relaxing wine tasting getaway! Fantastic views, super cozy and clean! She had the fridge stocked with snacks and breakfast items, along with wine waiting for our arrival. We really enjoyed sitting with our wine at the table near the vineyard at sunset! It was private, yet safe. Overall, an amazing two nights! We had 3 girls all together, we were totally comfortable in this space. Thank you Susan! You made our wine weekend that much more awesome!

  I arranged surprise extended weekend for my husband's belated birthday celebration. While we've stayed at both B&B's and hotels in the area, I wanted a quiet, peaceful location where we could reconnect with no obligation to socialize or go out for meals unless the spirit moved us. Susan's guest house was everything I hoped it would be. It is located away from town (no traffic noise), away from neighbors (didn't see or hear any neighbors - although because it is so quiet, we could occasionally hear the conversation of cyclists as they rode by) in a beautiful garden setting (vineyard in the front, rose garden in the back.) There are mature trees all around, and with the guest house being on the second floor above the garage, looking out the many windows leaves you with the impression of being in a tree house. Susan is a wonderful host, and we found the refrigerator well stocked with fresh eggs, fruit, cheese, crackers, hot and cold cereal, English muffins, milk, juice, and of course, wine! This is a destination must if you're looking for a beautiful, serene respite from a hectic life! We will definately be back!

  My husband and I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed staying at Chalk Hill as well as exploring the nearby Healdsburg area! Susan outfits the apartment with everything you need and more! There's so much to do in the area besides visiting wineries, we enjoyed hiking in the nearby parks, bike riding near the estate, and the choices in restaurants were so many that we'll definitely be back soon! Thank you Ssuan for use of your apartment!

  My wife and I recently stopped off in Healdsburg as part of our honeymoon and stayed in this amazing studio apartment. We arrived to a stocked fridge and bottle of champagne which made us feel welcomed and at home. Our hostess, Susan, gave us our privacy but made sure to attend to our every need. When I asked her about a nice spot for us to enjoy the sunset and relax outdoors, she actually setup a table with chairs in her vineyard. Believe me, it was a nice touch. WHEN we return to wine country we will make sure to drop her a line and book another few nights. One last note, we went to Susan's clothing store in downtown Healdsburg. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the selection and Susan's generosity. Don't forget to try the Lancaster Estate for a wine tasting and tour of the vineyard. It's a must see. Great trip!

  We had a lovely time at this VRBO. It was our first time using the website and the experience was very easy and Susan was a delight. The studio is very spacious and airy - windows everywhere so, when you wake up you feel as if you're in the trees. There was a wonderful breeze flowing through and the smell of fresh air and her incredible vineyard and rose garden were breathtaking. We followed her suggestion for dinner at Baci in town, we watched movies--great selection! Nibbled on snacks she left for us and really relaxed. Thanks for a perfect weekend getaway and we look forward to a return visit!

  A great place to stay. We were going to a concert at Wells Fargo Center and Susan recommened a great place to eat, Willi's Wine Bar near the concert. The property is as described, only it seemed better and very quiet. Susan said there would be eggs in the fridge, but there was much more. Susan was very helpful making suggestions for things to do in the area. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.

  My husband, little mini Aussie (Max), and I really enjoyed our weekend stay here! Susan made checking in extremely easy and had several little goodies in the studio waiting for us which was a real treat! The studio is beautiful and very cozy, stocked with plenty of home amenities (kitchen/bathroom items, ipod player, wfii) and the location is great - 10 min from downtown Healdsburg and right next door to several wineries. We would definitely return for a stay and would highly recommend staying here, thank you Susan!
