This dog friendly panoramic lake view Tahoe ski lease & vacation rental home is located in Carnelian Bay and has qualities not often found in a rental house. The home features indoor hot tub room with slate floors and french doors all opening to the big view, large river rock fireplace, custom kitchen that a chef would appreciate with hand carved oak cabinets with a large chopping block island, separate family room with leather couch with chairs and wood stove, fenced side yard, free high speed wireless internet, and a large wrap around deck. There are 3 TV's (HD in family room) and 3 DVD's in the home and every bedroom has an unobstructed lake view.
This lake view Tahoe vacation home is located on a charming private road in North Lake Tahoe (in-between Tahoe City and Kings Beach) which is sought after for summer and winter vacations. Great shopping nearby as well as gaming, ski areas, shows, and wonderful restaurants.
During the summer months guests have access to a shared pier, buoys (as available by reservation), community swimming pool, grassy lawn area with snack bar, sand volleyball court, and tennis courts. The pool is open from mid-June to Labor Day.

Queen+ 2 Twins+ Queen (large upstairs bedroom that also contains the loft)
For winter enthusiasts, Agate Bay is surrounded Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Mt. Rose, and Diamond Peak ski resorts. Cross country skiing is also excellent as well as areas to view the lake while snowshoeing. Discount lift tickets are available for Northstar, Alpine Meadows and Diamond Peak (Save up to $17 per ticket).

Why the Owner Chose Carnelian Bay
We enjoyed the "family" atmosphere of Agate Bay. We also liked being in between Kings Beach and Tahoe City so we had quick access to stores, restaurants, etc.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This used to be our primary residence so the property is equipped as a home and not a "rental." It will not take you long to settle in to "Tahoe time." Whether it be the moon rises over the lake at night, the sunrises or sunsets, or just relaxing at the home, the lake views will always remind you that you are in Tahoe.

We built this home, instead of buying one, so the home could be exactly the way we wanted it. We wanted every room to have a lake view, we wanted an indoor hot tub with doors that opened up (why get cold?), we wanted a quiet street, and we wanted a very open floor plan so everyone could be involved in the conversation.

This was a great home, everyroom had a view of the lake. The patio had two tables and many chairs to enjoy the wonderful view. The kitchen was nice and big and had a great island, with a lot of dishes and cooking items. The jacuzzi had its own room with a view. I would recommend staying here.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We definitely enjoyed staying at this home. The view really can't be beat - coffee on the extensive deck in the morning, watching the moon rise in the evening over the lake. There was plenty of room for our party of 6. The house was well appointed, the kitchen had everything you could need for cooking meals for a group (except we couldn't find a can opener, go figure!). The beds were very comfortable. We used the hot tub quite a bit with its beautiful view. We heard some traffic noise during the day, but it was very quiet at night. Literally the only even slightly negative thing I would say is that the downstairs windows didn't have screens, so flying insects did join us. The upstairs windows all have screens. Would definitely rent the house again!

A perfect setting with a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe. the home is beautiful great amenities. The location is perfect for skier/boarders, cross country skiers, or just playing in the snow. It is close to many good restaurants in Kings Beach and Tahoe City and the Nevada state line.

Don't go to this house so that it is available when I want to return. This is the best ever. We loved it. Great views, great kitchen, great Jacuzzi. No complains really. Thank you.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful winter holiday at the Gardner home in Agate Bay. The location is perfect for a ski vacation -- a close drive to many top Tahoe ski resorts and restaurants. The home is warm, cozy, and comfortable during the winter. We thoroughly enjoyed using the inside hot tub after skiing -- a real treat! The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking for a crowd. We would recommend this gorgeous family home to anyone wishing a relaxing lakeside vacation -- summer or winter!

This year we couldnt spent Christmas at home but thanks to the Gardner house we felt home. Not to mention that it was a white Christmas! The house is very cosy , very well decorated and very confortable. The kitchen is fully equiped.As said before it is like being home. The highlights are the spa and the view. Absolutly splendid, gorgeous from all over the house. That's a must. So we had a wonderful stay at the Gardner house.

The Gardner Family Home in Tahoe is a wonderful place to stay. It is very comfortable, has spectacular lake views & is well equipped. Our party would definitely stay at the house again.

Our family has been vacationing in Agate Bay for 20+ years. The Yoder family has rented this lovely home many times over the last 10 years. We love it! Our guests love it! Our many friends who live and have or rent homes (not viewing the lake)in Agate Bay love it! As long as you don't scoop up our precius two weeks, we highly recommend this gem of a property to you and your friends.
