  We are so glad to have made it back to White Sails Escape 1 for our second stay. The house is great and there is so much to do in the area. We really appreciated coming "home" to the seclusion of the property, to spend relaxing evenings on the decks and yard, to enjoy the sunsets and the spectacular views of Lake Erie and the adjacent vineyards. Thank you Leonidas and Richard, your graciousness made our 25th Anniversary celebration extra special.

  This was my husband and I's 5th time staying at Escape 1. We can never get enough of this place. This time we stayed for 8 days and 7 nights. Definitely worth the extra stay! Leonidas and Richard are always a pleasure to visit with each year!

  This lake house is definitely an "escape." It was so quaint and quiet and in a very nice location. My husband and I were able to visit the city of Erie with just a short drive and then come back to the quiet home to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Our favorite part was the 2nd floor of the deck, which has comfortable seating to enjoy the view. The house was very clean and decorated in such charming "beach" decor. I highly recommend this as a romantic getaway for two :)

  We have stayed here for a week in June for the past two years and just think it is a great place to kick back and relax. The house is just as advertised and includes everything you will need. It is a very convenient location for all kinds of activities including some great fishing and is a short drive to Erie and Presque Isle. The owners are great and ensure you have everything you need. Hopefully we can return for many years to come.

  This was our first visit to North East,your place is amazing more than we ever expected.The view and just the whole experience of our 3 days was wonderful.We will be back next and and looking forward to our next stay.My husband and I felt that we were at home and were never more relaxed.Thank you for everything.

  My husband and I have visited North East every year for 7 years to enjoy the fabulous wineries and taste each year's new releases. We were so fortunate to have found your cottage on the lake 3 years ago! Up till then, we couldn't find a place to stay in North East that satisfied us as much as the wine satisfies us. The cottage, the grounds, the location, the owners!!!!! Everything about your cottage is amazing and we look forward to each year's visit! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

  This beach cottage was everything we had hoped for. Very private and quiet. Great views, please click our Flickr Link at the end to see the photos we took. It was our first time staying here, but it won't be our last. Loved the upper deck for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Built a campfire one night and really enjoyed the sunset from the fire's glow. Thanks for making our stay a veryyyyyyy special one.   If you want to dance as though no one is watching you, then this is the place to do it! Eye candy abounds. From the inside, tons of windows provide a panoramic view of the lake to the horizon where it meets the sky in constantly changing shades of blue. The sophisticated beach themed décor reminded us of an upscale boutique hotel. Outside there are so many places to sit on the decks, we spent an afternoon trying them all! The landscaping is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. We couldn’t get over the fact that the locust trees off the deck silhouetted against the sunset looked like palm trees! Lastly, the sunset was dazzling, but if you’re a fan of the night sky, the stars here are not to be missed. They looked bigger, brighter and closer, and we saw dozens of shooting stars. Thank you for sharing this magical property. We were glad we got to meet you and you can be sure my sisters and I will be back next summer.

  Its Monday....back to reality, I'm imagining myself sitting on the upper deck, drinking my coffee and savoring the majestic views of Lake Erie and the rolling vineyards, listening to all of nature. The cottage is absolutely wonderful, comfortable, beautiful views from every window, such a wonderful get-away for us and so close to home. We so enjoyed our two days on your beautiful property, we want to thank you both for sharing this lovely cottage, and appreciate your hospitality!   This small house was perfect for our honeymoon. Fantastic views of the lake with many great sunsets. The decks really do give a birds eye view at any time of day. Nice quiet spot and very scenic, the North East area is off the beaten path. The house was very cozy and just right for the two of us. Wish we could've stayed longer! Thanks!
