Located near Saugatuck-Douglas in Glenn, the Clubhouse is situated on a quiet country road along the shores of Lake Michigan. A perfect cottage for families to enjoy the sounds of nature, and a slower pace. A short walk down the road brings you to a grassy slope, bringing you to the beach, where you can take a nap, a swim or work on that novel you've been trying to write. The children will enjoy hunting for critters in the creek, or minnows in the big lake.
Holland is only 20 minutes to the north, where you can enjoy movies, shopping, and museums. Saugatuck is long noted for its artistic community, and the galleries are enticing with cutting edge artwork from the local artists. To the south, a 15 minute drive brings you to South Haven, with a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and boating opportunities. Don't miss the beautiful South Haven Pier! Further to the east is Casco township, home of many fine family farms and wineries. In fact, you can go on a winery tour of many of the local wineries. Fresh fruits and vegetables are available at local farm stands, and local cheeses as well. Or go to Fennville, just a short 20 minute drive, to in incomparable Crane's Orchard for sandwiches and pie. Southwest Michigan is paradise!

Why the Owner Chose Douglas
My family has a summer home here along the lakeshore that belonged to my great-grandmother, so I've been spending summers here since I was a baby. We are now on our 6th generation of Southwest Michigan beach lovers. There really isn't any place else I'd rather be in the summer.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The Clubhouse is set back from the road, so it's very quiet. It's surrounded by woods, so there are some wonderful opportunities to bird watch. The sunsets are truly spectacular, and the night sky is all-a-sparkle with stars and moon. Breathtaking!
