The apartment was very, very clean and comfortable. We could not have asked for any nicer hosts. We enjoyed the Shoo-fly pie. The garden and yard were gorgeous. It was great hearing the clip clop of the horses and see the buggy's. I regret that I did not get to spend some time with the hosts but we were trying to see things in the area in the short time we had. Would love to go back and just sit and talk. My daughter, sister and I would recommend the place to anyone wanting a very nice place to stay and very pleasant hosts.

We had a wonderful time! Our place was VERY spacious providing plenty of room for our 3 children to spread out and play. We enjoyed the local shops, thanks mostly to the great suggestions by our host, but we (especially the kids) found our greatest pleasure in "returning home." The backyard was a wonderful space to run around and the swings were AWESOME! Although we got to see quite a few sights during our week stay, by far our favorite things were those swings, the lightning bugs, the raspberries out of the garden and the evening primrose. We hope to return soon!!

Our 2 days at Dan and Lena's home was too short and we're looking forward to a return visit. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is very well maintained. The location is great. Sitting on their patio, enjoying the beautiful countryside and sunset was so peaceful and restful. Lena made us a delicious, fresh strawberry pie, with the strawberries coming from their garden. Our conversation with them was most enjoyable.

This B&B says "Welcome to our home" from the moment you walk in the door! The sincerity of our host's hospitality was delightfully matched by wonderful aromas that floated up to our end of the house. Lena was particularly helpful in orienting my sister & I to local craft. They both know where to go for good food or other supplies that you might need. The experience left me wishing I had planned more time here! I wish I was there right now but next time I'd bring along my husband and daughter.

Wonderfully pleasant hosts; committed to God & family! My sister and I enjoyed our 2 days immensely and have already decided to return to spend more time with the hosts and local amenities. Lena's homemade bread, jam, and butter were delicious! They were very helpful and gracious. This property is in excellent condition.
Owner response:Tina and her sister were a real Blessing to us We did not have enough of time to chat back and forth but trust they will be backWe give our guests privacy if that is what they choose but like to mingle with them Lena

My husband and I along with an adult daughter and her spouse needed some down time away from all the busyness of church jobs. This was an ideal place for us to do just that. The living quarters are clean and well decorated but not fussy. we loved meeting and visiting with the Eshs in the garden and sharing tips on raising blackberries etc.The added cinnamon rolls were wonderful. thank you both for your hospitality.

We absolutely loved the home, it was brand new, and extremely CLEAN. I went with my husband and 2 kids. The place was very spacious and accomodating. In the morning you would see the beautiful scenery of the farmland and the green hills. Lena baked us a Pumkin Pie that was delicious. The owners are very hospitable and nice. They made our stay comfortable.

A very spacious and comfortable place to stay. We traveled all over the area (Philadelphia, Lancaster, Admastown, Valley Forge, etc.) and it was centrally located, making our day-trips very easy. But it was also good to come "home" to a clean, safe, comfortable place each night. The Esch's are very gracious hosts, the location is great, and the sights and sounds wonderful!

Dan and Lena's house is absolutely the perfect place to stay (especially if you don't want to cook any meals!). There is a "kitchen" area with a small refrigerator, sink, microwave, and table. Perfect for our breakfasts (they provided cereal and milk) and for our sandwiches for lunch. In that same room is a living area (no tv) - it's a very large room. The bedroom area is also very large (we have 4 kids ages 6 and under and we all fit comfortably in the bedroom - they provided a pack and play and blow up air mattress along with all the bedding). The space is very clean and comfortable. Dan and Lena were excellent hosts. Very kind and generous. They were willing to chat about the area and offer ideas of things to do. My daughter and I even took a school bus ride with Dan (he drives the bus for the school by their church) and saw the back roads of Amish country. So fun! When we got home, Lena had a pan of cinnamon rolls for us as an "after school" snack. Yummy! We attended church with them on Sunday and were invited over for lunch by a family in the church who also had 4 children. What a terrific meal and great fellowship! I was amazed at their kindness and hospitality. Outside there is a great yard for the kids to run around and a very large set of swings. They have 39 grandchildren, so they enjoy and are used to having children around. :) Their youngest son and his family live on the farm behind their house, so when you look out the window, you see cows and beautiful scenery. An Amish family lives right across the street, so you can see their horse and buggy each day. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed. It is so much better than a hotel room and such a great price. We had a terrific time!
