Lots of room and fun for the whole family at this unique pet friendly vacation home. Two extra large bedrooms upstairs can also serve as additional recreational space. There is a fireplace with an upper deck sporting spectacular views. In this room there is also a TV for VHS videos with a library of videos to view and a stereo. This is a great space for the kids to play and relax after a busy day.
The main floor has the satellite TV, a wood fireplace and a large wrap around deck with the same mountain views as the upper floor. The kitchen is well equipped with a propane BBQ right outside the door on the deck.
The large basement has a ping pong table for some indoor fun and lots of room for skis, golf clubs or other recreational equipment that you may want to store. With four bedrooms, there is lots of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves at this mountain getaway.

We had a great girls ski get-away. The house is equiped with everything one needs- a real home away from home. The bedrooms are situated on two different floors so there is a sense of personal space and lots of room to spread out. The owners attention to detail made our stay special: cozy bedding, a well stocked kitchen and a comfortable seating area to lounge around. The house is as nice as it looks in the listing. We had fun skiing at Fairmont, Kimberly and Panorama. The weather was very cold one day and we enjoyed playing ping pong and relaxing around the fire. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer for a golf trip. I would definately stay at this house again and would recommend to friends and family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The property worked very well for a golf weekend for eight guys. Everyone had a bed or a pullout. Everything was as described in the listing and we were five minutes away from the two Fairmont golf courses. The owners were availbale for any and all questions we had and overall I would give the whole experience a thumbs-up and not hesitate to recommend to someone else.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Hello Terry and Diane: Just to let you know that we had a great week-end and everything was in perfect order. We had a group of six people and there was a bed for everyone. We definitely plan to visit again and tell friends about the cabin. The only thing we did, over and above your household supplies, was bring eco-friendly household products (i.e. eco detergents and unbleached coffee filters)--we have allergy issues in the family like itchy skin from conventional cleaning products. Also, my Dad, who is retired from construction, kept walking around the property admiring the recent handiwork. He couldn't believe the attention to detail and workmanship. It definitely shows that your property is a project that's meaningful to you. The wrap around veranda is an all-season treatment--it maximizes the use of the space and gives everybody room to roam (or read). You can sit in the sun or move to the shade. You could post the property on screen with a 3-D cam that you sometimes see in real estate sites (you can turn the image around 360 degrees). About the owner: We built this mountain home ourselves and truly enjoy coming out enjoy all the area has to offer. The drive from Calgary is especially pretty through the two mountain parks so that by the time we arrive we are truly relaxed and feel like we have left the hustle and bustle of city life behind us....especially when our friends, the deer are waiting in our yard to welcome us. We are excited to share our home with you and hope that you enjoy yourselves and have a memorable stay.
Why the Owner Chose Fairmont Hot Springs:
This area is a golf mecca with over 10 courses within a 45 minute radius. Most of these courses are championship courses. We also enjoy the skiing in the winter. The Fairmont Ski Hill is a 10 minute drive away, and is a great place for family downhill skiing. Just down from the Fairmont Ski Hill are the Hot Springs which are fabulous after a day on the slopes. For more challenging slopes Kimberley and Panorama are both an hour away.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We really like the fact that you can put on your cross country skis right at the house and ski over to Riverside Golf course, or go down to the road to Columbia Lake. If you don't feel like cooking you can always walk to the restaurant or the pub at Riverside Golf Course, or over to the Farside Pub or hop in your car and go to fine dining at the Hoo Doos Resturant 5 minutes down the road.
