The wines of the region are becoming renown. Enjoy wine tasting in the Village! The Wild Goose Cafe is a favorite destination for coffees and pastry in the early morn and fresh homemade (Organic when possible) soups, salads, sandwiches, and irresistable sweet treats.. A 5 minute stroll. Internet service is complimentary. Visit the artists and shopkeepers of our Village. Alan Masaoka's Glass Studio is stunning. You may be able to participate in the glass blowing!
The hiking and biking trails of Garland park can be reached by hiking along the Carmel River or a 10 minute drive to the park trail head.
A easy 20 minute drive puts you on Carmel beach, Pebble Beach, Monterey Bay and Cannery Row, or the beginning of the spectacular drive to Big Sur.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a remarkable tour of the undersea realm.
Through out the year special events abound. The Bach Festival, the Jazz Festival, the Blues Festival, The Concours de Elegance, Hot Summer Nights, Racing at Laguna Seca, and of course the worlld of Golf; the AT&T, and the U.S. Open in 2010. Ride in the Sea Otter Classic, see surfing at the Surfabout Contest or watch the dangerous riding of the Biggest waves on the coast at Ghost Trees.
Watch the sunset and perhaps catch a movie or head back to Village House and your own popcorn in front of the surround sound 72" wide screen HD TV.
