We were a group of 2 families visiting from Australia hoping to have a wonderful Christmas break in Tahoe. Until you arrive - you never quite know what the accommodation is going to be like after all that planning! We were all extremely happy with how clean, organised and well planned the home was for our stay. Our kids (aged 8 - 16) were all over the moon with the rooms and the ample space we had to cook, dine and relax in scenic Lake Tahoe. A convenient location and the Owner a treat to deal with even on the smallest issues that sometimes arise from flat batteries (lol). Highly recommended and would love to return in the future. Thanks again to all the crew :)

Hi Marian, We had a wonderful stay at your house. I'm not a contractor, but I really appreciate the quality of the work done on your place. From the solid pine doors to the hardware on the cabinetry, you have a really beautiful home. The floor plan worked out nicely enabling us to have one family take the downstairs and the rest of us upstairs. And the dogs loved the backyard! After the first of the year we'll start planning our trip for fall 2012 and I will certainly considering your home again. Thank you for everything, Bill

Our party stayed here for a weekend and Duke's residence is really as beautiful as the pictures! Plus, the location cannot be beat: a 5 min walk to Lake Tahoe or to an open meadow (I can just imagine how gorgeous it would be in the summer!). House was clean and very spacious, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, there were even sleds in the garage (Bikes and canoe for the summer too!). Any questions were answered quickly. Our entire party, including my yellow lab, had a great time here and Marian was a joy to work with! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home! Loved the game room downstairs! The home was close to the casinos and ski resorts, great garage with lots of room for skis & snowboards plus a nice size driveway for more cars. We brought our golden retriever who loved the backyard. The game room downstairs was great with a full kitchen. LOVED the home!

Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful Tahoe home. We enjoyed our family Christmas so much and hope to return again. We made dinner at home every night and appreciated your spacious kitchen and dining areas. There was plenty of room for six adults and two children. The location enabled us to have easy access to snowboarding, shopping, sledding, ice skating, etc. You are a wonderful host and would not hesitate to recommend this property to any and all. Marian, We just returned home from our fabulous vacation in Tahoe. Your home was everything I thought it would be. Our whole family was so impressed and comfortable there. We had beautiful weather and made many fun memories with the kids. They learned to ski and enjoyed ice skating, sledding, and tubing as well. We walked to the lake where they played in the snow and we just savored the gorgeous views. Thanks again for your hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the home. The decor was lovely and everything was so luxurious and well thought out. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook for the family. We loved spending cozy evenings around the fireplace watching the Winter Olympics on the big flat screen TV. I miss it already!! D.S.

Our family spend 3 days at the house. The house is new with all sorts of conveniences, nicely designed interiors, specious,and full of light. We loved the balcony with an impressive BBQ. The location is great,close to the lake, restaurants and casinos. We liked the house so much, that we recommended it to our relatives for an upcoming family re-union.

My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying the Duke's Residence for 3 days/2 nights at the end of July. As frequent Tahoe visitors, we have stayed at different houses over the years and have had different experiences with rental properties in the area. Duke's Residense definitely stands out as one of the best: from the tastefully appointed and spacious rooms, to modern amenities, designer lighting and well stacked kitchen. The house sits on a quiet street only a short walk away from the lake. Split level floor plan, with a kitchen on each level, makes this rental a perfect place for a family vacation, as well as for a gathering of friends who want to enjoy everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer. We would definitely come back again.

I and my family stayed at the Duke's Residence last week.It was the best vacation we had in a long time.Great house with a warm decor, spacious rooms and kitchen. House has everything you need away from home, kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance one can think of. Very convenient location, within few steps from the lake, shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend this house.

We rented this beautiful house last year in April and had a wonderful time there. You have a warm feeling of home there, with large kitchen and dining room, nice bedrooms and tasteful decor... All the shops are close by as well as the Lake Tahoe, were we went for a long walk. We would recommend this house to everybody. Janet and Leonid

Renter Comments from 2008: My partner Ming and I stayed at the Duke's Residence recently and enjoyed the spaciousness, modern amenities, and tasteful decor. There's an advanced lighting system that allows you to create any kind of mood desired. We like to cook and found the kitchen has everything we needed including a cuisanart. The beds are very comfortable. The place has plenty of natural light and room to spread out. We weren't there during ski season, but the slate floors are perfect for ski boots and snow. An especially nice feature is the wireless internet since we are admittedly addicted to the Internet. The location is perfect, convenient to the lake, shops, and restaurants (ok, who needs the fancy kitchen?!). 'Duke's Residence' is a great retreat away from home. We spent most of our time just lounging around reading, talking, and enjoying the environment. We highly recommend the place.
