"What a Beautiful Place this is!"--most often heard when a guest enters our cottage in Moss Creek.
Once you pass through the security gates for your stay at Moss Creek Plantation, you will have access to two private Fazio golf courses; seven Har-true tennis courts; a full service club house; a large marsh and marina-front community swimming pool; and miles of bike and nature trails. And you will find yourself only 15 to 20 minutes from the pristine beaches of Hilton Head Island!
As you come through those gates, imagine yourself driving through a huge grove of stately pecan trees, grazing horses on the left, a tidal marsh panorama on the right. After about a mile, you will turn at the stately clubhouse and pro shop to drive a few hundred yards to the Salt Marsh Cottages and then to 127 Devil's Elbow Lane, the charming, exceptionally well maintained cottage where you will be staying. Be ready for the "Wow" effect as you walk down the hall to the living room and share the marsh-front view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. If it is high tide, the water will be only a few feet from the deck. Kayakers may be paddling by!
During your stay, you will find for your convenience a fully -equipped kitchen; a dining room which can seat up to 8 comfortably; ceiling fans in the living room, dining room, and bedrooms; a loft office affording privacy; and a large deck on the marsh with a gas grill as well as table and chairs. In the storage unit, you will find bicycles and beach chairs. An on-site property manager is available in case of emergencies.
You will probably find that you will not need to drive your car while in Moss Creek itself because you can easily walk to the club house, golf courses, and tennis courts as well as bike to the pool around the whole Plantation. But once you do hop in the car, you will find lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities right outside the gates, including outlets less than a half mile away. Opportunities for deep-sea fishing, kayaking, golf at many public courses, sight-seeing tours, and art exhibitions are just as close by. With a bit more travel, you will find the historic village of Bluffton about 15 minutes away; Savannah and Beaufort about 40 minutes; and Charleston about 2 hours.
