The Essex Ferry is 9 miles up on Rt. 22. Enjoy a 1/2 hour ferry ride to Burlington Vermont through the spring or fall. Port Henry Bridge located South on Rte 22, can be used all year round for trips to Vermont, if you choose. Plenty of sight seeing, golf, boating or hiking,ski, snow mobiling trails to do, or just relax!
Lake Placid is just twenty five minutes away for skiing in the winter. Ski White Face Mountain! The second highest peak in the Adirondack Range. Public boat ramp in town for water skiing enjoyment. Golf at one of the most spectacular golf courses in NY, with breathtaking views. Visit Asabel Casum. Or head over to Ben and Jerry's, or the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory in Vermont for a day trip.
