The Essex Ferry is 9 miles up on Rt. 22. Enjoy a 1/2 hour ferry ride to Burlington Vermont through the spring or fall. Port Henry Ferry Runs year round until the new bridge construction is complete located South on Rte 22 approx 17 miles, if you choose. Plenty of sight seeing, golf, boating,hiking,skiing, snow mobiling trails to do, or just relax!
Lake Placid is just twenty five minutes away for skiing in the winter. Ski White Face Mountain! The fifth highest peak in the Adirondack Range. Public boat ramp in town for water skiing enjoyment. Boat and Jet ski rentals are availible at the Marina in town. Golf at one of the most spectacular golf courses in NY, with breathtaking views. Visit Asabel Casum. Or head over to Ben and Jerry's, or the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory in Vermont for a day trip.
