In your face VIEWS! Wrap around deck, barbeque and outside covered swinging chair. All perfect for relaxation and fun. Walk down to the lake for a dip in the water or go lounge in the floating relaxation station.
Chill by the lakeside fire pit (great for roasting s’mores and hot dogs). You may rent a boat, wave runner or sea kayaks in the town of Lakeside 4 miles away.
This comfortable home sits on 1 ½ acres. It is conveniently located on the North end of Flathead Lake between the towns of Somers and Lakeside. It is the perfect spot to base from while you explore Bigfork, Whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia Falls and Glacier National Park.
Like to Golf? Golf Digest named the Flathead valley a top 50 golf course destination. There are nine championship golf courses in the area.
The lake frontage is about 18 feet wide and is a deck over the water with a relaxation station floaty. There are lounge chairs on the lakefront deck and a fire pit. Wood is down by the fire pit. There is not a boat dock. If you plan to bring or rent a boat you will need an anchor and plan to trailer your boat daily at the public boat launch only 2 miles away.
The master bedroom has views, a queen-sized bed and a TV. The other room is very large and has a queen sized bed, a full sized bed, and an attached bathroom. The living room has a queen sized hide-a-bed couch. Additional fold up mats are available by request.
TV’s are located in the living room and in the master bedroom. Both TV's have DVD and VCR players. There is a DVD/VHS library in the home and a CD player, ipod/MP3 player and computer you are welcome to use. Wi-fi throughout.
I have little kids so the home is equipped with kid toys, books and dvd's. I also have a high chair, booster seat, portable crib etc. available by request.
The upstairs unit is about 1500 square feet. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen, and a comfortable living & dining area. There is a year round tenant in a downstairs apartment. She has her own entrance.
2 loaner Mtn. Bikes are at the property just waiting for you to go for a ride.

My husband and I moved to the Flathead Valley from California 14 years ago. We were drawn to the area to partake of all the many year round outdoor opportunities. Plus, we thought the Flathead Valley would be a great place to raise children. We now have 2 lovely little girls ages 6 and 4 . Along with some family pets. My husband and I stayed at this property July 9-16, 2011, with another couple. The house was perfectly located for the activities we had planned for the week and provided and great "home" to return to each night. We have stayed at many VRBO locations in and out of the U.S. and I would say this house was the best equipped of all. Thanks to Cheryl for all of the personal touches. We will definitely stay again if we're lucky enough to travel to Montana in the future.

This is what my Whitefish friends call Montana and it is all true. I was a bit worried about staying in Somers, which is a very small town, but we are all so glad we did. Four of us rented this property for the week and it far exceeded our expectations. The property is stunning. We loved everything about it. It was spotlessly clean and well stocked. We've stayed at VRBO's all over the world and none of them were stocked as well and as thoughtfully provided for guests pleasure as Cheryl has done. We saw deer in the morning and watched the osprey nesting next door with the binoculars provided. The weather was cool and crisp and sleeping was heaven. We loved the downstairs neighbor and her cool dog Scout was great fun. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and grill out, the firepit with its lovely view and some mores provided for us was well-- just a very special treat. What can we say about that crazy massage chair--but where can I get one? The bikes were simply the best and most amazing way to discover the town of Somer's and the Historic bike trail which we rode several times during the week just made the trip so special. This addition along with the bird books and excellent library for discovering the wildlife is one of many examples of the owners thoughtfulness. I felt pampered and cared for even though we were left to ourselves. There is so much to do in this area, but of course discovering Glacier National Park should be the priority. This park is stunning. After a days hike, a glass of wine by the fire pit and a little massage in the chair and you'll be feeling like you never want to leave. Thank you for sharing your amazing home and property with us. We left feeling lucky to have had the experience and were sad to say goodbye to this beautiful place.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your home. The view of Flathead Lake and surrounding mountain range is priceless. We had lots of fun down at the lake, watching the sailboats in the evening off the deck, sunsets and bald eagles. Very tranquil! We were pleasantly suprised by all the necessities that were provided to us. Your s'more package was very thoughtful. You certainly went over and above to ensure our stay was great.
