Right Behind the Super Bee Chair - 3 Bedroom Condo
Year Purchased: 2000
Why the Owner Chose Village Point
We wanted a location that allowed for easy access to Denver International Airport which meant Summit County. Of the four ski areas in the county, Copper is our favorite. Then our decision came down to either Frisco or Copper Mtn. Although we like shopping and walking around Frisco, nothing beats being at a mountain resort to provide that vacation relaxation. Village Point 112 was available right at the base of the Super Bee and we jumped at the opportunity to purchase the best ski-in, ski-out location on the mountain.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Our condo is the place we wish we could have rented when our girls were growing. The unit is perfect for the seven of us that went to the slopes every year - my wife and I, three daughters, and my wife's parents. The tubing hill is great for kids, Grandma enjoys watching everyone come down the slopes, and Grandpa can quit early if his knee gets to hurting. Summers are a hidden treasure with plenty of biking and hiking trails in the area. The golf course is right in front of our unit and there are trout in the local streams.
Owner's Map of Village Point
I started skiing Copper Mtn. during its first season which happened to be my first year at the Air Force Academy. In 1975 I brought my wife to be to Copper Mtn. and it became our favorite area. Even though we moved away from Colorado we visit Copper Mtn. on our frequent trips to visit family in Colorado. All three of our girls learned to ski at Copper and say they do not remember learning to ski. Presently, we live in Maryland where I am Captain for USAirways flying the Boeing 767 to Europe and the Caribbean.

Check-in and cleaning is handled by Carbonate Propery Management. Check their website at carbonate-real-estate for directions and to compare prices. Check the resort website at coppercolorado to see what is happening at the mountain, buy lift tickets, and to make plans for your stay. If you value location and view, Village Point is the place for you. If you want to be where the crowds gather at the bottom of most of the green and blue runs, look at the New Village at the center of Copper Mountain. If plush accomodations and the latest in ammenities appeal to your party, look at Copper Springs Lodge. Village Point had an exterior renovation in 2002 and our unit unit was updated shortly before that. There are no hallways and the ski lockers are steps from your parking spot. The upper level of our unit is kept nice and toasty by the gas fireplace, but the electric heat downstairs takes some time to recover from open doors on cold days. Village Point is a great place for serious skiers or a relaxing place where you can watch all the activity on the mountain. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do.
