What a wonderful time my husband, I and our dog had during our stay here in December 2011. It was a great escape from our busy city lives. In fact, we are already talking about coming back. The location was perfect for us - serene and beautiful. The cabin was very homey and the little items left by Chris were appreciated. We were very happy to find a place that was pet-friendly. We couldn't have timed our trip better as it started to snow as we drove in and melted away when we left.

Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. We went for a week in late June and the kids had an absolute blast at the lake. The breakfast items are a very nice touch. We enjoyed having big breakfasts as a family. A great rental at a great price.

We enjoyed our stay @ this cabin very much! It was clean and has everything you need and more. The breakfast and birthday brownies were a special treat. We really enjoyed them ;) Thank you Chris & Abby for allowing us to use your cabin for our perfect weekend. I recommend this place and plan on returning in the spring.

I just got back yesterday from the cabin and have already recommended it to friends and family, the owner Chris is so kind and helpful, he even set the television up for my 4 boys when we got there, which left plenty of free time for my husband and I to unpack and look around. The cabin was clean and very well stocked, with breakfast items already in the fridge, fresh coffee and numerous other canned goods. there is plenty to do outside the cabin with loads of snow all around and a stream that is right in the backyard. We walked to the village several times and found some great sledding areas right around the corner. We will be back soon.

My family and I spent 3 nights at this lodge and found out to be extermely homely and well kept with cleanliness as the main factor standing out. The cabin had everthing what I could possibly need i.e. utensils for cooking, emergency rations, clean toilets, great location and very quiet place to spend a vacation. The beds were clean and the place was big enough for my family 7 people in all including 3 adults and 4 kids. My kids loved the HBO and the DSL wireless. The place is very quiet and I would surely visit this place a couple of times in future. The owner had made my visit hassle free by stocking up the refrigirator and thoughtfull action of keeping juice & coffee in case I arrived late. Great job Chris at keeping up this place!

Our family stayed from June 21-27 and we had a wonderful time. This cabin is perfect, very clean and excellent location. It's about a 3 minute walk to the town that has the lake (my kids loved and we enjoyed getting sun) a General Store with lots of goodies also the Malt Shoppe has great food. We are a family of 6, plus our dog and we all enjoyed!!!!!! Chris was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was nice. We can't wait to come back.

We had a great time at the cabin. Thanks so much for the hospitality (food, cleanliness, etc)! The location is excellent, very laid back and homey. The weekend couldn't have been better: the drive was easy and clear (we came from Costa Mesa), it snowed that nite and the next day giving us and the kids lots of fresh snow to play with, then was totally clear and sunny for the drive back. We plan on coming back again next winter. Thanks again, Chris!

We were able to stay at one of this owner's other properties in Running Springs and it was just as fun! We also rec'd the great breakfast and all the comforts of home! It was close to the little village and we found a great place to play in the snow nearby! We are already planning our next trip!
Owner response:The other rental that Ysela is referring to is now on VRBO!. Her family stayed in this cabin before we had it listed on VRBO. You can now find this cabin for rent on VRBO. Look for Inland Empire, Running Springs, Knotty Pine. Thxs Ysela for being the first to rent this cabin. We look forward to your return visit.

This was the best trip ever. My kids didn't even want to go home, and usually they do cause they are bored. Cabin was AWESOME. Owners completely made you feel at home. We've rented many cabins. But this was the best experience ever. Going through the owner was so much easier. Only way to go. We'll definitely be back!

This cabin is homey, casual, and comfortable. The hospitality of the owners is topnotch. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked with breakfast goodies for us before our arrival. Bed was comfortable and linens were in good shape. Shower had good water pressure and an abundant supply of hot water. The location is just a few short blocks from the lake. Space is set up well for children or roommates as there are actually two separate floors of inviting living/sleeping areas. The downstairs area opens out directly to the seasonal creek and upstairs opens to street level or deck. BBQ is in a great location to listen to the breezes rustle through the trees and relax. If you are looking for the perfect place to kick off your shoes and just say "aaahhhhhhh" you will not be sorry if you choose to make this charmer your "home away from home" for a weekend or a week. If you are looking for a real cabin, rustic and inviting, not a condo with a Ralph Lauren cabin "theme" then this is the place for you. Green Valley Lake is a hidden and special little gem of a lake community high in the clouds, far away from the crowd. The fishing is excellent and the nights are cool. The wild birds are abundant and vocal...couldn't believe how many different types of birds we heard singing away in the trees. Purrrfect! We can't wait to go back! It was just exactly the break we needed!
