The cottage overlooks the Grand Rivers Walking Trail which runs under a large canopy of old growth hardwood beside the back part of Green Turtle Bay on Lake Barkley, which the locals refer to as Little Lake. Adjacent Little Lake Park offers a newly constructed children’s playground, free Saturday night concerts in the summer with live bands, and periodic outdoor festivals.
The cottage is a short walk to everything in Grand Rivers including Green Turtle Bay Marina, Lighthouse Landing Sailboat Marina (where motor boat, jet ski and sailboat rentals are available), Patti’s 1880s Settlement, the Branson-style Badget Village Playhouse Theater, IGA grocery store, antique and other retail stores and much more.
