We LOVED our visit to your cabin, from the adirondack furnishings, the beautiful setting in the mountains and on Lake Placid, to the fully stocked kitchen. The fireplace was gorgeous! Perfect Mini Honeymoon

My husband and I drove up to Lake Placid the day after we got married for our fabulous two night stay. This was our second visit to Lake Placid but our first experience staying at the Garden Cottage. Amy, you have really thought of everything, the cottage is perfect. We arrived a little after dark and it was quiet around the lake but the minute we opened the door we were relaxed and at home in the coziness of the lit cottage all decorated for the holiday season. The bed and views are amazing and we had the fire roaring the entire time we were there. Lake Placid has many cute restaurants but we never wanted to leave the cottage and ordered dinner in both nights so we could relax and eat by the fire! Our hound mix Fred loved every minute of his stay too. I only hope we can return in the near future, we are already looking at our February schedules to try and work out a longer stay. The only problem with our trip...we didn't want to leave. Thank you Amy for making our mini honeymoon relaxing and perfect. The Browns (Paul, Heather and Fred).

Hi Amy, How wonderful my time was while staying at Garden Cottage. What a delightful little home away from home. Aspen must be amazing, because I can't for the life of me imagine leaving 2 Chipmunk Lane to stay anywhere else, summer or winter. Thank you so very much for your care and every creature comfort at the cotttage. No detail was overlooked in your provision and concern for my time at Garden Cottage. Idyllic Adirondack Cottage

Garden cottage is utterly charming. We arrived on an exceptionally cold night in January (0!) And the cottage was well-lit, warm and inviting. We still couldn't resist stoking up a real wood fire. No detail has been spared with décor and it's incredibly homely. The bathroom and kitchen are new, and the kitchen is very well equipped. The cottage is in a great position just a few steps from the lake and a few minutes drive from the Relais and Chateaux Lake Placid Lodge where we had a delicious meal. It's also close to Whiteface ski resort, 5 minutes from a cross-country ski trail, and a few minutes from several beautiful hikes. My only regret is due to the snow we couldn't see the garden. We will be back!

Perfect Choice

My husband and I took our first trip to Lake Placid in early December and we cannot say enough about our stay at the Garden Cottage. It was exactly what we had hoped for when planning a little get-away. The cottage is so warm, quaint and cozy, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is just perfect, off the beaten path for a quiet, peaceful stay, but just minutes away from all that Lake Placid has to offer. We had fresh snow fall the entire time and enjoyed relaxing each night by the fireplace. Thank you, Amy, for a memorable and perfect mini-vacation. We will definitely be back!

October in the Adirondacks

My husband and I have been going to Lake Placid in October for the last 5 years. This year we wanted to bring our yellow lab with us, so we needed to find a pet friendly place that would feel like home. The Garden Cottage was wonderful! We found ourselves sightseeing less and spending more time at the cottage so we could enjoy the fireplace. The cottage is so cozy, warm and inviting. We loved the views of the mountains and Lake Placid. It was a wonderful, relaxing get-a-way for us. Thanks for sharing your cottage.......next time we hope we can stay longer!

A Garden For All Seasons

My wife, myself,and our Standard Poodle spent 4 calming nights here and have never had such a relaxing, rejuvenating respite in this beautifully decorated Adirondaack inspired cozy cabin. I am from the North Country and have visited Lake Placid many many times. We have stayed in some very pleasant cabins and homes. The Garden Cottage tops them all. Location, landscaping, ambiance, comfort, amenities, are all superlative. Amy DeLuca has a gem here and our only regret is we had to leave. Really, you will not find a nicer place.

Wonderful Lake Placid Cottage!

My partner and I stayed at the Garden Cottage for 3 nights and it was absolutely spectacular! The cottage is very charming, wonderfully located with easy access to the marina where there's a restaurant, kayak/boat rentals, a small beach, and a moments drive to the main strip in Lake Placid. The place was immaculate and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. It's quiet, private, and we exactly what I had been looking for when planning our trip. Amy had been extremely responsive via email prior to our arrival answering all the questions I had about the property. It's an absolutely lovely property, if I find myself back in Lake Placid I would definitely stay here again!

I recently returned from a PERFECT stay at Garden Cottage. I swear, upon arrival I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It couldn't have been more perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything and anything one might need - for example I brought an espresso maker - next time I don't need to bother. The furnishings are tasteful yet cozy, plus there are 2 TVs, AND high speed internet connection. The setting of the cottage is perfection, near enough to the lake that a short walk is all one needs, but isolated enough to feel relaxed. I slept 15 hours a day on the giant bed and spent the rest of the time reading in the front yard while listening to loons and owls nearby. I can hardly wait to return to Garden Cottage. If you are looking for an intimate, romantic, charming, and very comfortable get away in a beautiful and majestic setting, I invite you to consider the Garden Cottage in Lake Placid. We happened to visit in November when there was just enough snow to add ambiance, and it was just cold enough to take advantage of the grand stone fireplace. Though compact, the cottage is well-designed and well-organized, and very, very tidy - perfect for two! The king sized bed is luxurious, and we wondered where such wonderful pillows could be found! The lack of foliage in late fall provided an unencumbered view of the lake, and truly there is purple mountain majesty to be found in the Adirondacks! The cottage is close to shopping, fine dining, and the winter Olympic sites, and offers a haven for rest and relaxation in addition to, or instead of the local attractions. The Garden Cottage exceeded my expectations, and was perfect for the romantic long weekend I had planned.

The Garden Cottage is BEAUTIFUL! The pictures can not do it justice...it is far more beautiful than the pictures show. We loved every minute in this charming, immaculately clean, very comfortable, well equipped, and beautifully decorated cottage. We were blown away with Amy's attention to detail. We can not say enough wonderful things about this fantastic cottage. Although we are skiers...we opted to take in local sights and snow shoe locally...rather than leave the cottage all day to ski! This cottage exeeded our highest hopes. Thanks, Amy! We'll be back!

WOW!!! What a fantastic time we had between Christmas and New Years 2007 in the Garden Cottage. After what, according to the locals, had been a snowless winter, winter showed up just as we arrived. With snow falling every day of our stay, Lake Placid was transformed into a real "Winter Wonderland." We were absolutely blown away by how completely Amy and Mark had equipped this romantic hideaway. You truly need bring nothing but your clothing. They thought of and included everything you could possibly want or need. We spent most of our time just lounging in our cozy hideaway; reading, working on a jigsaw puzzle, or just lounging by the ever present crackling fire in the magnificent stone fireplace. We can't wait to return.

This is truly a romantic, enchanted cottage. The only thing bad was I wish we could have stayed longer than 3 days. This is one of the most wonderful times I have ever had. This place is heaven on earth and now it has to end & us return home to daily routines. We will be back each year to "Garden Cottage" and recommend to all our family & friends. August 2003 Thank you for the wonderful memories we'll always cherish staying at the garden cottage. Our little 7 month old Marcello was able to sit up on his own and practice semi-crawling on the cozy king size bed.
