Bring you dog and celebrate the holidays, Valentines or spring and summer breaks in this Buckhead guesthouse that is a home away from home for anyone visiting Atlanta. Need a temporary place due to construction on their home, in town on business, or in on special assignment, visiting family, our guest house is perfect. I have even had folks that just need some space for a while:)
It is a city location (5 minutes from downtown, 15 minutes from the airport) with a countryside feel to it, providing you privacy and quiet in its surroundings, or the nightlife and social scene of downtown and midtown Atlanta, Buckhead and the surrounding areas. The guesthouse is privately enclosed with privacy fence, so your dog has their own backyard to frolic and play. My dog Charlie makes a great playmate if you choose...so there is fun for everyone. The guesthouse is off the beaten track of highways or busy streets so you will never know you are in the city.
Then it is a skip and jump to the mountains, the outlet malls north of the city, a mile or two into the city, and just miles away from all of the sites and sounds of Atlanta

Originally from Philadelphia, then after 14 years in Boca Raton Florida, I moved to Atlanta as a midway point between the northern colds and southern heat. Ok, so Atlanta has heat.
I absolutely love Atlanta and all it has to offer, and would love to provide others visiting, here on a temporary assignment, on vacation,or simply needing a home away from home, a chance to see this great city and state while living in a cozy and homey apartment VERSUS a hotel room. Atlanta and Georgia have so much to offer, I do not need to tell you, and as a cyclist, hiker, and runner, I take advantage of all of it from the city, to outlying areas, to the mountains and even the beaches. Atlanta is my home, and I would love to give you a great place to stay while you are here.
Why the Owner Chose Atlanta
You cannot beat the location of this guesthouse; 1/8 of a mile from 75, 1 mile from the city, sits on top of 400 and 85 - you can get anywhere.... yet when you see that it sits on 1 acre of land surrounded by trees and perched on a hill, in a private neighborhood of Buckhead, you will be amazed that you are in the city. It is quiet, private, and so quaint, let alone close to anything you want to do. And the privacy fence is not only great for you but even better for your best four legged friend you have.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The last renters were having construction done on their house, and had a dog, so could not find a place that allowed pets, but more importantly was clean, safe, and convenient for them. The next four set of renters also brought their four legged friends. We allow pets (inquire on) and so do the 3 parks that are in walking distance.. that are also perfect for running, cycling, people watching. The amenities of the home are plentiful yet is walking distance from Thai, Cuban, Italian and more restaurants, grocery stores, and laundry mats than you will want. The guesthouse sits apart from the main home, and has a backyard, patio and private entrance that visitors can take advantage of. It is a home away from home.

It's hard to find nice accomodations that will accept well-behaved pets. We hit the jackpot! This guesthouse has everything - lovely furnishings, kitchenette, plenty of privacy, a fenced yard for the dogs, and an owner who was very knowledgeable and helpful. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do - Cirque du Soleil, Georgia Aquarium, High Museum, Atlanta Botanical Garden, parks for walking the dogs - all within a 10-minute drive. Plus the nearby restaurants were amazing - Cafe Sunflower (gourmet vegetarian!), Fado's, Black Bear Tavern, and Legal Seafood, to name a few. We had a wonderful time and are already planning our return trip.

My husband and I just stayed at the guesthouse for a quick getaway before he leaves with the military for a year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house, especially the hospitality of the hostess. The guesthouse is perfectly located with quick access to downtown Atlanta or to virtually anywhere in the city. There is lots of great shopping and restaurants very close by. Having the fenced yard was especially nice for our two little Corgis, who absolutely loved playing with Charlie! We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying there again ourselves.

Stayed here from June 6 through 13. Was a great little guesthouse for myself and my dog while in town for a wedding. Nicely decorated and the owner was very sweet and responsive. Location is terrific, located minutes from downtown. Would stay again next time visiting Atlanta area.
