Thanks for the opportunity to get out of town and burn off some boys' energy. The kids loved helping clear trees to gather firewood and tidy up the yard! We adults enjoyed coffee and watching from the window and deck. Crazy mix of weather--snowstorm Friday night, but burned off to glorious sunshine Saturday afternoon. Saw a lot of wildlife this visit--pronghorn antelope Friday night, herd of elk on Saturday and even had 4-5 deer grazing in the front yard for Saturday sunset. Happy Mother's Day for all of us. Thank you.

We got a great mix of weather--cold and windy snowstorm then beautiful and sunny. Enjoyed family games, hot tub, walking the dog through the powdery snow.... aaaaaah. Very nice winter vacation

The cabin was a perfect home base for a weekend of cross country skiing in the Colorado high country. The owners were very helpful with our last minute reservation and everything worked out swimmingly. Thanks for the home away from home!
Owner response:Thanks, D. We're glad it all worked out for you and your family. It is a perfect base for all kinds of recreation in the high country--XC skiing and snow shoeing, downhill skiing at Breck, etc. Many folks love the peace and quiet and stay home to curl up with a book next to the fireplace or pop in a DVD for a movie.

A real mountain getaway! Fantastic for kids and adults. We enjoyed skiing at A-Basin and then coming home to a cozy warm cabin with a roaring fireplace. An amazing location for activity winter and summer. Skiing and snow shoe-ing in winter and fishing in the summer. We'd love to come more often!

We enjoyed staying here during the Thanksgiving weekend. The location is far away from Black Friday temptations and an easy drive from Denver. Direct TV was nice for watching the games, Hot Tub was great for soaking and watching the stars. I imagine this setting is even more beautiful in the fall, considering all the Aspens that surround the cabin. I would like to return to this place in the summer and take advantage of the local fishing at Jefferson lake.
Owner response:Thanks, C. Glad you enjoyed the holiday weekend at our place. The aspens are beautiful year round--brilliant green in spring and summer and striking gold in the fall. Fishing is great at nearby creeks as well as Jefferson Lake. Come back again! Thanks, J & E.

We enjoyed our stay at Aspen Grove. The location was beautiful as we were able to see the aspens change colors for the fall. Sitting in the hot tub was wonderful each night. We found the house very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there. Be sure to follow the owners direction as our Garmin never could find the house.
Owner response:Thanks, G and K--so glad you enjoyed the stay! Part of the charm of our place is that it is secluded and private so the directions are important. Although it is easily accessible, you have to know where you're going. We are cooks, so having the right tools in the kitchen is important to us and our guests. You hit the height of the aspen gold, but truly, the trees are beautiful in all seasons.

My whole family enjoyed the weekend at Aspen Grove, that included our four legged kids! Very homey feel to it, the dogs loved having the room to run and not being stuck in a hotel or a car. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!!
Owner response:Thanks, Erika. Our place offers something for everyone--young and old, including fur kids. The scenery, fresh air and peace and quiet are rejuvenating. Janet

We enjoyed lots of activity from this great home base camp! We drove over Boreas Pass, ate at the Brown Burro Cafe in Fairplay--the smothered chile relleno with red chili really rocks!!! Did some shopping and antique-ing in Fairplay too. Best parts were just staying "home" and relaxing and enjoying the hot tub. Out daughter esp enjoyed the hot tub. Thank you, thank you.

We drove every pass around here and saw all the beautiful sites that nature has to offer. We enjoyed Burro Days in Fairplay and met and talked with many nice folks! I caught a couple of trout at Jefferson Lake and my wife made a wonderful supper. What did we like best? The whole darn week--everything was terrific. Thank God for Colorado.

Glacier Peaks Chalet was a fabulous location for a much needed respite. The beautiful scenery, fresh mountain air, warm sun, peace and quiet allowed us to renew our energy. This beautiful cabin was a perfect home base as we went out and explored the fantastic South Park area. After exploring and hiking we completely enjoyed the comfortable space provided by this lovely chalet. This was a most satisfying place to relax and experience a retreat. We definitely want to repeat this wonderful vacation.
Owner response:Thank you, Ann. Glad you were renewed! The cabin and the area are most conducive to that. Could you send us some pictures of all the columbine? You hit a spectacular wildflower season this year. We always have Indian paintbrush, wild iris and others, but this year the columbine went wild! Come back!

What a nice getaway to the mountains--we had super weather and took many drives over the mountain passes. We even got to play in snow (Boreas Pass) on the 4th of July! We visited Lake Jefferson, Tarryall Reservoir and Breckenridge--all very fun and very different. Classic Rocky Mountain scenery--aaahhh. Our favorite moments were nights in the hot tub, relaxing on the quiet deck and the drive over Boreas Pass. Most comfy cabin in an excellent setting--the mountain air was so very nice. Thank you!

My husband and I have stayed at this home on two occasions, once in the summer and once in the winter. We enjoyed both seasons. The location is ideal, as it is only an hour and a half from our home in Littleton. The description listed is very accurate and the photos reflect the charm of the home. It’s very well maintained and comfortable. The owners were very helpful in answering our questions, although we really didn't have any major concerns. Once we got to the cabin, we really didn’t want to do much or go anywhere else. We slept in the comfortable beds, got up in the morning and went for long walks with our dog, saw numerous deer, and came home and made a wonderful breakfast. We read books and played games. It was a delightfully relaxing weekend. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who wanted a lovely retreat.

My Husband and I have stayed at this lovely cabin twice in the last five years and will be back again! If there's one description I would give it, it would be "roughing it in style". If you are looking for convenient seclusion, this is the place. If you like to hike, bike, climb, jeep, ski, snowshoe or just sit in front of the fireplace or in the hot tub and listen to the silence, you can't get much better. the surounding scenery is also first rate..... We had a wonderful stay at this little slice of paradise---not too far from Denver, but it felt like a world away. The coziness of the cabin and the awesome views from the windows and deck made us not want to leave! The place was incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed. At night, we drove around to see a magnificent herd of elk on the hill---really cool. Our group tucked in at night with a movie, a crackling fire and popcorn. Perhaps sitting in the hot tub in the morning, enjoying a cup of coffee and looking out at the amazing mtn views was my favorite thing. We'll be back!

Our family of five stayed in the Glacier Peaks Chalet over Christmas this year (2009) and we are so thrilled that we chose this beautiful cabin. The coziness and warmth, cleanliness and charm all exceeded our expectations. Just about everything we needed was provided. We brought up our entire Christmas and wanted to include many of our usual traditions. With the stocked kitchen, abundant firewood and beautiful accommodations, we were able to make everything work in our home away from home and Christmas was better than ever! A short drive into Breckenridge allowed us to sled and enjoy shopping, all the while knowing we would quickly return to isolation and beauty at the Chalet. Of course, the fabulous hot tub, enjoyed in sub-zero temperatures made coming home that much more of a treat. Thank you, Kendall for the wonderful hospitality! Very Satisfied Customers, Amy and Bob

This cabin is beautiful and cozy. The location was remote yet not too far from civilization if we needed anything. It was incredibly well stocked, with chopped firewood, plenty of blankets, complete kitchen - we didn't look for anything and not find it. Overall this is a beautiful cabin and we really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
