Rent this lavish ocean front estate at Mariner's View Point for vacations and weddings (to preserve the property we limit Mariner's View Point to 1 wedding per year). This Martha's Vineyard rental combines traditional elegance with panoramic ocean views.
Tucked at the end of a winding drive on Martha's Vineyard a magnificent ocean front estate offers utmost serenity and privacy. The newly renovated, shingled residence at its heart combines dramatic water views with handcrafted details underscoring its New England Heritage.
In the Living room, wraparound picture windows showcase panoramas of the Vineyard Sound, the Elizabeth Islands and the North Shore, while sleek white walls and a soaring, skylight, beamed ceiling echo the expansive scene. Five bedrooms and an office all enjoy equally dramatic prospects.
Spa with sauna, steam, and jacuzzi, as well as an outdoor hot tub, enhance a year round resort-like ambiance. Beside a spring fed pond, an adorable playhouse stands sentry. Bordering the expansive emerald lawn are a charming, stone paved picnic area and a picturesque low stone wall. Beyond, directly on the Sound lies the estate's private beach, a peaceful haven where the sunbathing and beachcombing offer blissful days in the relaxed tradition of the island.
Testimonials:
'I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our time at the Vineyard. Your property is spectacular. The views were of course breath taking, the ocean was full of life and fun, and most wonderful was the peacefulness we all felt there. The house is full of so many beautiful pieces and treasures, I could actually feel the love and life if those who spend time there. Thank you for sharing that with us. I know falling in love with the house will accent the pride we will feel in it's renovation. ' -Karisa & Jim Seaver
“If you are looking for the perfect compliment to life in Laguna Beach...you will find it at the Elghanayan family retreat located “down island” off the point of Martha’s Vineyard. This is a classic New England summer experience. Here is where a cast of romantic characters from American history, from famous authors to musicians to politicians, have vacationed. What is particularly unique about this home is that you can ride your bikes down to the docks in nearby Menemsha, fetch fresh lobster and clams for dinner, then build yourself a bonfire on the private beach and roast marshmallows in the dark. If all else fails, you can just watch the sailboats pass by on their way to Nantucket. Just as Laguna Beach is unique to California, Martha’s Vineyard is unique to New England. It should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.”-Matt and Lizanne Witte
'The feeling of total and complete relaxation while you sit on top of this beautiful estate surrounded by nature and beauty will promise to refresh, revive and harmonize your mind and soul. A priceless gift of experiencing Martha's Vineyard that will last you and your family a lifetime. Thank you, Elghanayan family' - Houalla Family

Unless one has truly experienced a peaceful- loving heaven, the fantastic beauty and the breath taking setting of "Mariner's View Point" is really difficult to express. At first glance upon arrival - your heart will skip a beat! But prepare yourself for the moment you step inside the most soulful home. Where no detail has been overlooked to welcome you in. Anyone lucky enough to experience such hideaway retreat, should consider themselves "blessed". I know- cause my family and I - have been fortunate and grateful to keep going back. Thank you Elghanayan Family from the bottom of our hearts, Houman, Ladan & ShireenRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hi Jeff and Suzy, Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of experiencing your beautiful estate. To date it stays as one of the most memorable family vacations we have ever had. We have been a lot of places, but your home and property tops them all. There is something so magical about the property and the home that it is impossible to put into words. Our kids beg us every year to return to Martha's Vineyard to your home because of their experience which through their eyes was so invaluable and amazing. We have too many memories to list, but a few of our favorites were the clam back, the sand cliffs, the ferry to Menemsha to get fresh lobster and just being with one at the home itself! Our memories at your home on the Vineyard are priceless..........Thank you so much! Jill and Greg B.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1986
About the owner: Welcome to our Martha's Vineyard home. We have found it to be a remarkably refreshing and rejuvenating fountain of youth for us and our friends. Our children have made deep roots in the culture of the island even in the few weeks a year that we are there. The wide variety of spontaneous interaction with the innocence of nature is anxiously anticipated even though our primary residence is oceanfront Laguna Beach. Being at Mariner's View point is a transformational experience filled with peace and serenity. It truly takes our breath away each time we come through our main gate.
Why the Owner Chose Aquinnah:
I fell in love with this house in 1968 when I first spied it from the shore and made up my mind to purchase it. It took close to 20 years to wrestle it away from the owner, I went through two other homes along the way and ended up with the prize of Martha's Vineyard. Once you visit I am sure you will agree that the wait and struggle were well worth the effort. We would stay there all summer if we could but kids, sports and schedules do not permit us that pleasure.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
The intimacy and privacy we enjoy with the land and waters at Mariner's View Point are unsurpassed by any experience we have had on the continental US. To travel so effortlessly within the US and find a place so far and away yet so close just adds to the convenience of being there. From the breathtaking walks along our beach to the Gay Head cliffs, a tranquil swim at Dogfish bar, traffic free bicycle ride to Menemsha for a fresh catch, or easy country drive under the beetlebung canopy to town we truly feel transported to another world.
