We just returned from spending a week at this home in Seattle over Christmas...for the second year in a row. We love this house! It is so comfortable...and the open kitchen with the great view is great to hang out in. The listing is completely accurate and the photos don't even do it justice...it is even nicer than it seems in the pictures. The owner is wonderfully helpful - a delight to work with...and everything is clean and well maintained with very nice linens. We would definitely recommend this property without hesitation to anyone. We hope to be able to have an opportunity to rent it again.

Beautiful home! Comfortable beds, they had everything we needed on site. Our daughter visited on the morning of the wedding and said the view of Green Lake from the home started her day perfectly! It was nice for our family members, who live in different cities, to stay together for the wedding weekend. Our younger daughter is an art student at WWU and was fascinated by all the interesting art work found throughout the home, as we all were. The wedding weekend was packed with things to do so it was very nice to come home to such a restful and cozy abode each day. We all agree that we would certainly rent through VRBO again - and this particular house for sure!

My family stayed in this home for our son's wedding. The six of us had plenty of room in this immaculate, adorable home. Lynne was very responsive to questions, and the fact that the owners live in a private apartment on site was helpful. The beautiful view made it very pleasant whether playing games or relaxing after a hectic day. And the beds were sooo comfy, we slept like babies every night. Would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in a very busy city.

Perfect vacation rental. Close to great stores, restaurants, coffee shops and minutes from downtown. Wonderful view. Great decor. Very friendly owners. We had 4 adults and 2 children in the place with no problems. What a great get-away!

This is a delightful home! My family and I spent a week there over Christmas and would recommend it highly. The decor is visually appealing and charming...colorful, artistic and comfortable. The views, especially from the kitchen/family room/deck are gorgeous. The layout of the home is very good, with 2 bedrooms and 1 large bathroom on the entry level, along with the living room, which is open to the dining room, and a kitchen off the dining room which opens to a comfortable sitting area and the deck with a great view. The third bedroom and brand new bathroom are very attractive - and just down a flight of carpeted stairs. Having a long dining room table is great for entertaining. The beds are super comfortable and the linens are top of the line. Everything described in the listing is accurate and the photos actually don't do it justice. The owners take obvious and justifiable pride in their home, keeping it clean, well-maintained, and nicely landscaped. Lynn and Matthew are quick to respond to questions, very helpful about recommending nearby restaurants and stores, and went out of their way to make us feel immediately at home. They even had a Christmas tree, beautifully decorated, ready and lit in the living room when we arrived! I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family and we would love to stay there again.

From the moment we parked in front of the house, we were captivated by the color and whimsy of this cozy, beautiful home. There are comfy couches and settees in each room where we curled up in comforters and enjoyed the art, the books, the decor and the views. This home is fully equipped with everything you'd dream of having in a vacation place - games, art supplies, a variety of reading material, proximity to shops, dining, and recreation. We will stay here again...and again.

As I was looking for a place to spend a week prior to my daughters wedding I came upon this VRBO home and it is more beautiful and stunning than the pictures. I wanted a home with 3 bedroom and 3 queen beds , 2 baths , a kitchen and living space. I hit the jackpot!! When one arrives you first encounter the incredible flowers and plants along the walkway, use the combination to the lock box and you open up to the most incredible sight. Not only is the living room into the dining room breathtaking but one looks out onto Green Lake and the Cascade mountains!! You meander into a whimsical kitchen with everything you could imagine. I want the work bench and the tiles at my house. The kitchen is incredible with the family room and best of all is the deck that overlooks green lake. We had space to entertain before festivities began and 6 adults stayed comfortably. Morning coffee, wine in the evening on the porch is the best!! I have found a new neighborhood in Seattle to love and the easy access to downtown either by car or bus is a real plus!! I can't wait to return!! A very happy mother of the bride who as the wedding guests said was so chill, I credit the house and the peace and contentment vibes the house exudes!! I felt like I was home!! Highly recommend Golden Gardens and Discovery Park!!

"I like this house, it looks like a rainbow" Aili, sge 4 Lynne and Matt's house was a wonderful place to spend a week in Seattle. Our family of 4 felt comfortable there right away. Our kids liked being close to the zoo. We had lived in Magnolia for 5 years so staying in Phinney Ridge gave us a chance to enjoy Seattle from a different neighborhood. We hope to visit Seattle more often and will definitely stay there again.

This house was amazing. Where to begin? There were so many things to love - the incredibly comfortable beds, the well-equipped kitchen, the abundance of art, the view, the location, the heated bathroom floor, the sound system and CDs.... I could go on and on. Friends from 3 different coasts reunited in Seattle for 3 glorious nights. 6 women and one 8 year old boy found everything we needed and never wanted to leave. The house gave us all the togetherness AND all the privacy we needed. The rental process was so easy, Lynne was so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to rent in the city. I can't imagine a more perfect oasis.

This house is amazing! We decided to elope in Seattle and did all of our planning online. After viewing this property and speaking with Lynn we decided that having our actual ceremony in the backyard if the weather was nice would be great. We never expected the backyard to be as spectacular as it was - our pictures are breathtaking and it was calm and serene. We brought two of our friends with us and we all stayed in the house - we chose the 3rd bedroom downstairs and they stayed upstairs - it was perfect. Lynn and Matt were so accomodating and a pleasure to be around. We wanted to take Nico home with us! We cannot wait to come back and would recommend this place as a family retreat or a small intimate wedding venue! This is a beautiful home.

This is a terrific house. The charm of the house is great. The landscaping is outstanding and the art work and decorating were amazing. Everyday we found some additional art work that we had not previously seen. Great view of Green Lake and the mountains from the deck. Easy access to most sites that you want to visit in Seattle. Convenient to many good restaurants, bars, coffee houses, etc. Safe and secure area. Owners were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

WOW!!! What a beautiful, fun, cozy, perfect house for a vacation in Seattle. The pictures don't do justice to the comfort and charm of this house. I stayed with my 2 children (ages 2 and 5) as well as my parents and felt right at home! The location was great... easy to get into the city, easy to escape the city, very quiet and safe feeling at night. I loved having so many views to choose from and I truly appreciated the comfortable furnishings. I would stay at this home again in a heartbeat! Thank you Lynne and Matt for being so accomodating.

We recently spent a week in July visiting Seattle so we decided to try VRBO to find a place to stay. I have three small children so having access to a kitchen and laundry facilities is a must. Lynne and Matt's home worked out perfectly for our needs. They were very accommodating and very accessible for any concerns. Their house is charming and wonderfully decorated. It made us feel very comfortable. The views from the back of the house were gorgeous and the neighborhood was lovely. We had some great weather during our visit to Seattle so we were busy seeing the sights. Lynne has put together an extensive travel library about what to see and do while visiting Seattle. The home is situated in an ideal location that is a 5-10 minute drive into downtown Seattle. Overall, I would recommend others to stay at Lynne and Matt's Phinney Ridge home.

This house is absolutely AMAZING! What a wonderful experience it was from the beginning when I inquired about the availability to when our family checked out. We rented this home for our family of six visiting from Montana. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival with a freshly baked blueberry pie on the kitchen counter, flowers in every room, and lots of books on things to do in Seattle. The house itself is beautiful and well decorated…the pictures don’t do it justice! Most of the time was spent in the family/TV area right next to the kitchen which leads to the deck through the french doors. It has picturesque view of Greenlake where you can soak up the sun above the tranquil garden. We especially appreciated all the art collection throughout the house, books, CDs, movies, board games, and a box of toys (which came in handy for our niece). The location is central and close to the zoo, parks, restaurant, pubs, and downtown. It’s truly a piece of paradise in Seattle! THANK YOU, Lynne and Matthew, for making our family’s visit such a enjoyable one!!!

My family and I stayed at this charming property for almost a month and it was perfect. It was impeccably clean and the whimsical setting made us feel like we could be happy venturing out or just staying at home. The views from the cottage were breathtaking and the location was unbeatable. We have rented through VRBO in many US and European locations but this was our favorite. It was perfect.

As a Seattle resident, I was thrilled when my parents chose to visit me and stay in a VRBO property. The view from this property is absolutely stunning, and on a clear day you can see Green Lake and the Cascade Mountains in the background. When you stay in this home, you will appreciate the beauty and thoughtfulness of the interior design. There is a cozy living space adjacent to the kitchen so you can socialize with the cooks during meal preparation, and there is a separate dining room and front room for spreading out and relaxing. We chose to stay home and cook more often than we had originally planned, because the space was so conducive to relaxing and enjoying each other's company. The property was exceptionally clean and maintained, and within walking distance to a number of great restaurants. The Phinney Ridge neighborhood association is right next door, with festivals, dance socials, yoga lessons, and other activities depending on the time of year. When we had questions, the owner was always available by phone to help. One fun recommendation: nearby there is an acoustic music venue called Empty Sea Studios (www.emptysea.com). This unique space hosts a variety of artists whose instruments sound better in an acoustic hall. My friend Michael owns and manages the studio, and shows almost always sell out, so plan ahead!

This house is amazing! We were one of the first renters to stay here and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! Besides the amazing view and inspiring decor, the owners were so gracious and hospitable. Fresh flowers in every room and a freshly baked pie awaited us upon arrival! They were very thoughtful and provided us restaurant recommendations, driving directions, and even had a stocked toy box for our kids. The location of the house is awesome. Within a short walking distance of great local restaurants, bars, a Starbucks, the zoo, and Green Lake. I loved sitting on the deck with a book, watching the sun set and listening to the water feature in the garden below. Ultimate relaxation!

This house is as lovely in reality as it appears in the photos. Everything about this house is wonderful - the owner, the view, the linens, appliances and furnishings, the neighborhood (great for walks), the cat... Rent this house if you can - the place is done well - artistic and squeeky clean. We really enjoyed our stay!
