I highly recommend this condo. It is in a great location in Poipu, literally a block away from the best sunsets and snorkeling in Kauai. The condo looked exactly like the pictures and provided extra amenities, such as snorkeling equipment and coolers. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. The best part is waking up to the ocean and sunset from bed! I would definitely recommend this condo and hope to return to it again soon!

This place was great and totally met our expectations and then some. We were celebrating our honeymoon and wanted something nice and affordable right near the beach. This place looked just like the photos and was very clean and comfortable. They provide all kind of kitchen things you could possibly need which is great because we did a lot of cooking on our own. We enjoyed sitting out on our lanai in the morning for breakfast. It overlooks a park and the ocean and we had the most lovely tradewinds and sound of the ocean at night. The living room and bedroom were nice size and the bed was super comfy which is important to me as my back is always bothersome. The bathroom is a bit on the small side, with a shower and toilet in one room, sink in and dressing table in the other. It wasn't a big deal to us. It stayed nice and cool during the day. We rented snorkel equipment right across the street and saw some of the best tropical fish that we saw on our visit. And every night everyone sits on the grass or the beach and watches sunset as a nightly event, so we'd blend up some homemade pina coladas and head down there with the chairs that were provided. The only thing that might have been a helpful beach item would be an umbrella for us pale folks. We ended up purchasing one and leaving it behind at our second destination, for some reason nobody rents this item. The grounds are well kept and all the rooms overlook the pool and the koi pond. The neighbors were all quiet and friendly. In terms of food, there's a shopping center with several options nearby but you have to look for it, Kukui`ula Village, I think it's called. It's in walking distance with high end and casual restaurants, galleries, gifts, a specialty market, and even a farmer's market on certain days. Poipu beach and Koloa are nearby, too. Overall, I would definitely return. And the owners were a joy to work with, very responsive, helpful, and professional.

My boyfriend and I were more than pleased with this property. The location was perfect and quiet, condo was very nicely furnished and clean. It had everything we needed to make our vacation a truly wonderful experience. The owners were fantastic to deal with. They answered any question we had and were extremely quick to respond. They really thought of everything to make this property feel like a home, rather then a rental, such as beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, snorkel equipment etc.. The kitchen was well equipped and great to cook in. One of the things we enjoyed the most was sitting on the lanai early in the morning with a cup of coffee looking out at the beautiful ocean, while we planned our day. There would be no need for us to look for a different condo next time we visit beautiful Kauai. For the price, location and amenities, I would say it's as close to being perfect as it could be. We even enjoyed the roosters all over the island and their crowing.

We stayed in the well appointed condo in late June/early July 2011. The condo has everything you could need for a beach vacation including a nice view across the street to the ocean from the lanai off the side of the building. There are guidebooks and beach gear and a reasonably well stocked kitchen if you want to cook your own meals. The neighbors were friendly so if you don't have something, it is easy to borrow. The condo has a bbq area with two huge gas grills and a large charcoal grill by the pool area that people congregate around at the dinner hour. No reason to eat out as the restaurants are expensive and not that great. You can do better at home. The bed was comfortable and the linens were lovely: very soft cotton. This is a truly thoughfully put together vacation space. The absolute best part of the Prince Kuhio condo is the grounds. They are gorgeous and very lovingly manicured and landscaped with tons of tropical plants and flowers. The pool is surrounded by a variety of species of swaying palms that were magic to listen to and watch. If you are not relaxed after an afternoon there, it is a lost cause. This condo is not fancy. It is affordable and clean and well maintained on the sunniest part of Kauai. The experience was magical and I highly recommend this unit for low key travelers looking for a comfortable home base while on Kauai. Also, I would like to point out how easy it was to work with the owners. They were 100% professional and reliable and a joy to work with. Enjoy yourself here.

We had the pleasure of renting this wonderful condo for the month of February, 2011. The pictures on this site say it all. View from the lanai is amazing as, not only is there Prince Kuhio Park right beside the unit, the ocean is directly across the road. We slept each night to the sound of the ocean waves in the very comfortable bedroom. Furnishings are clean, with every comfort met. We are experienced travellers and I would say this is my favourite rental to date. Snorkelling across the road is excellent and we even swam with a sea turtle! Do yourself a favour and experience the amazing island of Kauai with this unit as your home.

We loved this condo. It was very nicely decorated and worked out well for us. It was in a nice location, close to everthing we needed. The view was great. Just across the road was a nice little beach and we saw turtles from the road. The tradewinds kept the unit cool at night. I loved sipping my coffee from the bed in the morning looking at the ocean and hearing the waves. The owner was very nice to work with. Very good communication and helpful. Mahalo

We stayed 3/19 to 3/26 in this lovely spot. The unit is nicely updated and everything was in sparkling like-new condition and they have supplied everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. There was even a soft-sided cooler, beach towels, chairs and an umbrella! The owners were very helpful and easy to work with. The view from the small lanai isn't exactly like the picture, and it is off the bedroom rather than the living area, but it was a great place to sit in the sun and have a cup of wake-up coffee every morning. One of the best things about the condo is how quiet it is. The building seems to be very solidly built so you can't hear your neighbors moving about next door and this unit is on the top floor so there was no one stomping around above us. The pool area and outdoor shared BBQ facility is very nice and well kept. Be sure to check out the Koi in the pond by the entryway. They are HUGE! The condo is conveniently located close to a couple major beaches, and next to Prince Kuhio Park. Be prepared to get up with the roosters though as the park is home to about two dozen of the wild chickens that are everywhere on Kauai and they get up really, really early. Earplugs work if you like to sleep in. There aren't a lot of restaurants outside the hotels where you can find a really nice "dinner out" meal but we recommend Merriman's located in the new little shopping area close to the condo. We had a great dinner there and the service was wonderful. They also have a Merriman's downstairs cafe for lower cost meals and lunches where the food was also very good. You can even walk there if you want to. The Beach House, located on the beach directly across the street from the condo is nice for a sunset dinner but we thought the food at Merriman's was better and a better value. Altogether a really nice week at this condo and we would definitely recommend it to our friends.

What an absolutely delightful condo in the perfect location! The owners have updated this unit with dozens of thoughtful and beautiful touches and were so kind so genuine and so easy to deal with, it made the entire experience perfect. I really had a hard time leaving, but I know I will be back!!! When I close my eyes, I can still remember the full moon over the ocean or the perfect sunrises that greeted me every morning. Fabulous!!

We stayed in this unit from June 20-30, 2009. The owners were extremely helpful and nice! The view from the lanai and bedroom is great. We slept with the lanai door open every night, with the tradewinds blowing and the sound of the ocean. I would definately recommend staying in this condo! Mahalo, Melissa Nielsen

I've rented a few places on VRBO, but this was certainly my most favorable. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the condo looked better than the pictures (something about the cheesy faded borders in online pics that makes things look less genuine). I slept well in the king-sized bed despite my 3-hour jetlag, and was impressed by the *real* ocean view. The condo was well-appointed and the iPod/iPhone speakers slash charger made the trip a real vacation. Thanks and Mahalo. Nate Buscher
