Great Cottage for Two!

We stayed here the weekend of Thanksgiving 2009. We caught Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble right down the road on Saturday night. If you ever get the chance catch a Ramble in the barn. This location is great. You're w/in walking distance to Tinker street and a short drive from plenty to do. Saturday we took a short hike up Overlook Mountain and visited a Buddhist Monastery across the street from the parking lot where we hiked. Made for a very pleasant afternoon. Our downtime at the cottage was very enjoyable. Very cozy. The little stereo system was nice. Definitely would go back there for another Ramble visit and hopefully Opus 40 tour.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed for 5 days, a short honeymoon after our wedding in Saugerties. The cottage was so lovely. It was very clean and well-maintained. Photos are accurate, though I thought it was even nicer in person. Before we checked in, the owners answered our many questions via email and always got back to us quickly. We got to meet one of the owners, but felt pleasantly secluded for the duration of our stay. They provided a binder of suggestions for dining and activities. We had some exceptional meals based on these recommendations, especially our dinner at Cucina, a nearby Italian restaurant. I highly recommend this rental. My husband and I would love to rent it again on future trips to Woodstock.

This rental is EXCELLENT, especially for 1-2 people. The space is very well appropriated and the location is perfect if you want to go into town without the use of a car. We saw deer everyday at this cottage and it was the perfect accent to an already adorable area. The owners are very helpful and nice! And the price is great for what you get! All around great trip!

I had an amazing and super-relaxing week staying in this cozy artist's cottage. The place is pristine and cool and and situated in an incredibly lovely *woodsy* spot, not far from town. I will be recommending this cottage to everyone I know! Owner is welcoming, easy and helpful. (THANKS!)
