This spectacular three bedroom, three and a half bath, 3,500 square foot, two level home is nestled on the South side of Ho’olei, in a very private, quiet cul-de-sac bordered by the Wailea Blue Golf Course and a lush green belt. The location is special - free of noise and rooflines in your view scape. As you gaze across green belt, the view of the deep blue Pacific Ocean view is breathtaking. Between the palms, waves gently break on one of the best beaches in the world. From either your upper or lower lanai, seated comfortably on one of the chaise lounge chairs, watch the sun set below on the water. Twinkling lights and dramatic cloud formations constantly change the view over the West Maui Mountains and Lanai in the distance.

Incredible time on Maui--and you will not find a nicer place to stay. Spacious, beautifully decorated, every detail considered. Kitchen is particularly well supplied. Having the Grand Wailea a very short walk away is a bonus, although it's perfect to come "home" to Ho'Olei--it feels so secluded and quiet at the end of the day. The views from the lanai are breathtaking. We will be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The condo/townhouse was just beautiful. We were two families who travelled from Australia for our family vacation. The is a lovely five star property with every luxury you will need. We just loved it. The condo was ready when we arrived, after a long flight with children this was important to us. The condo was clean and the furnishing and appliances were the best quality you can get. My husband loved the kitchen. We had 4 children ages 4, 5, 6 & 10, so the space was perfect, plenty of room for the children. It was great having there own room with 2 double beds and own bathroom with flat screen TV. The children loved using both pools, especially the water slides. We really enjoyed coming back at the end of day and sitting on the patio admiring the fabulous views. After Modern Maui we went to Waikiki and we wished we had stayed here on our second week to just relax. We also enjoyed Waikiki but found it very very busy. Nothing can compare to staying at Modern Maui, just amazing. We are looking forward to coming back next year and would recommend this property to others. What an incredible vacation we had. Our family just returned from 9 nights at the Modern Maui Ho'Olei. After reading the other reviews and looking at the pictures I wasnt sure the Modern Maui would live up to our expectations....and it didnt - it was even better. The condo/townhouse was beautiful. The space was perfect, plenty of room and ammenities for a true 5 star stay. Our children, ages 13, 10 and 6 loved the elevator and having their own rooms with private bath and flat screen tv's. The views from the main level were majestic, sitting on the patio watching the sunset was always the perfect end to a perfect day. The Ho'olei resort is a perfect location on Maui. The kids enjoyed the short walk to the Ho'olei pool and to the waterslides at the Grand Waleia resort. We spent most of our vacation touring the island, taking surf lessons and enjoying incredible snorkeling spots. After a busy day we loved returning to the Ho'olei to relax by the pool or venture across the street for a sunset cocktail on the beach. Our favorite restaurant in Waliea was the MonkeyPod - excellent atmoshpere with great food. We also spent a few nights dining in nearby Paia - Flatbreads was our favorite restaurant in this adorable cool surf town. Overall Maui was a perfect family vacation destination and staying at the Modern Maui at the Ho'olei was worth every dollar. We have been home for 3 days and the kids are already asking when are we going back! For anyone considering a vacation in Maui i wouldnt look any further. Perfect island and perfect upscale accomodations to relax in.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Modern Ho'olei is spectacular!! Beyond our expectations. Each of us "oooo'ed and aaahhh'd" as we toured the unit. The view is the best of the complex and the unit is decorated to perfection. I hope to return and would not stay at any other unit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway.

We are a very close family which can seldom gather together in one place due to school and work commitments. Our Maui Christmas/New Years trip has been planned for almost a year. Wonderfully, it exceeded our very lofty expectations! We have loved our time in this beautiful home. Thank you for thinking through the needs of your guests. We were able to prepare a full Christmas dinner in the well-supplied and -appointed kitchen! Amazing !!" This was our third trip to Maui and "the best". The first two were spent in Wailea also but at the Four Seasons. Even though I liked the FSH, this stay (at Modern Maui) was much better. Amazingly clean, luxurious condo with no expense spared. From the incredible lanai, fully furnished kitchen with high end cookware everything was stocked. The master bedrooms and bath were rich, and clean. Even the garage had beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys. We spent most of the days at Wailea beach instead of the pool (which was very nice but filled with spoiled kids and rude ignoring parents). Our kids enjoyed the beach more anyway and the location is a short pleasant walk although a shuttle is easily available.
