A fantastic waterfront location with picturesque view of Quartermaster Harbor. Watch boats sail into the harbor or motor around the harbor. When you're settled in - get ready for your own Kayak around the harbor. You will find 3 kayaks available for your use at the cabin. Many enjoy a sunset journey in the peaceful waters.
Take a walk on the beach (can be rocky to wear shoes) and enjoy all of the shells - lots and lots of sand dollars. You can also take a bike ride - bikes and helmets provided at no additional fee.
At the end of a full day - enjoy your choice of food on the easy to use natural gas grill on the balcony just outside the kitchen. Or you can grill out on the deck below if you prefer during the day - with easy access to the beachfront.
Sleep in comfort in the small bedroom with a great view of the harbor and nicely set up reading lights. Kick back in the living room and play the games of your choice that have also been provided for your enjoyment. (Clue, Monopoly, Life, Battleship, Checkers...)
Enjoy the Saturday market at the village green in town center. Pick up some fresh foods and vegetables at any of the local or major markets in the area (small to large Grocery stores to choose from). Local restaurants give you a good range of choices for eating out.

Year Purchased: 2002
We've been running this rental since 2005. I enjoyed living there for a few years getting and we are now able to offer it to guests. We live on the island also and we're happy to be a resource to you during your visit. Many folks looking in Seattle area do not know that Vashon has easy access to both Seattle and Tacoma.
Why the Owner Chose Other Seattle Properties
I bought it to live in originally then got married and wanted to keep the property so offering it as a vacation rental made sense to us. We still enjoy it each year the week of July 4th, but the rest of the year we make it available to visitors. We enjoy meeting our guests and hearing their great stories of their adventures during their stays here.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Feels like home. Waterfront view, kayaks and bikes provided. Watch the early morning rowers on the island as they practice for competitions. On bus line for easy access to town center and on into Seattle if you wish you can go all the way without transfer from the cabin to downtown Seattle. New Gas fireplaces have been added. Eagles often fly by in front of the cabin. Ducks inhabit the harbor in the winter in an Audubon special location just in front of the cabin. Fantastic fall colors across the harbor in the fall.

Year 'round comments include so many great stories of beach walking and kayaking. There were even some good fish caught from just off the beach. A five year old got up for the first time on water skis and many a kid enjoyed kayaking around the shore. Everyone has been happy and we continue to enjoy hearing what people have liked best. Repeat customers are becoming the standard saying that they'll be back every year. 2008 is just beginning but inquiries have been brisk with many people trying to plan for weddings and other summer events.
