Pinnacle Landing was built in 2000. It is a 4300 square foot $700,000 custom built home sitting up on a hill overlooking Deep Creek Lake in a subdivision of about 30 private homes. Each home sits on a one acre lot. Since a private road leads into the community, there is very little traffic. The home is tastefully decorated and able to easily accommodate groups of 12-14. The living room features a two story stone fireplace and pine ceiling with a beautiful chandelier. For entertaining, there is room for a much larger group. However, we lived in the home for two years and it is a great layout for two, since everything is one the main floor.
The property is about half way down the lake and offers views all the way to Wisp, about 8 miles away. You will enjoy views of the lake from nearly every room in the house.
There are 5 Bedrooms, including 3 Master Bedrooms. The fourth bedroom has an adjoining bath, which is also shared by bedroom 5. Four of the rooms have Queen Sized beds, the fifth bedroom has twin beds. One of the bedrooms has an extra single bed and the other has a queen bed with bunk beds. In all, there is room for 13 to sleep in beds in addition to a pullout queen sleeper in the living room.
This property is managed by Coldwell Banker Deep Creek. The actual rental agreement will be prepared by them. This gives you a place to call in case there is a problem. They also provide some insurance and a place to pick up and drop off the keys. There is an additional $80 registration fee for Coldwell Banker and local taxes of 11%. - Twin/Single Bed (3) : The twin beds in the upstairs master bedroom are very substantial.
- Bunk Bed : This is a nice bunk bed, but it is a bunk bed so you have to climb up to the top bunk.
- Convertible Bed : This is in the upstairs living room, not very convenient.

- Lake View : We are about 440 yards from the lake, at an elevation of about 100 feet above the lake. We can see out the front windows all the way down the lake about 8 miles to WISP. In the winter, you can see the ski slope lit up at night.
- Mountain View : Deep Creek lake is surronded by mountains. We can see the mountains both to the east of the lake and the west of the lake.

Why the Owner Chose Swanton
We love the view of the lake, we are close enough to feel the lake, but not right ON the lake. We love the area, it is serene and beautiful. Deep Creek Lake is about 20 miles long. There are many good restaurants, and a ski resort, Wisp. We enjoy the slow pace and the terrific locals. There is plenty to do for all four seasons, which makes this a unique destination. Deep Creek State Park is just one mile away. Uno's and Garrett theater are also only 1 mile away. There is even a Walmart just 5 miles away in the darling town of Oakland.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We are on a hill, so have great privacy with terrific views of the lake. In the winter, we can see all the way to Wisp, which is about 8 miles away. There is a terrific boat rental company (Silvertree) just 1/2 mile down the road. The house has a number of places for small groups to gather, including a couch for 6 around the basement fireplace, a game table for 4 in the basement, a TV room, living room, large dining room table, and a loft with 500 books and a couch for reading and relaxing.

Barb and I work in the DC area and have owned this property for 8 years. Barb works at George Washington University and I am a rep for a graphic arts company. We lived in the house from Jan, 2007 to Jun, 2008, but have now put it back on the vacation rental market.
