My husband and I traveled with 2 other couples and it was a great home base to explore the Algarve and other areas of Portugal. It was our first visit but we felt well taken care of by Harry, the owner. By the time we arrived at the villa, we felt like he was an old friend. He arranged for our transportation to and from the airport with a gentleman that was equally as nice and accommodating. Any questions we had prior to our arrival, Harry went out of his way to answer. That was very reassuring since we were not at all familiar with the area or the language. We made many trips into Old Town and surrounding areas as well as a day trip into Seville and some overnights in Evora and Obidos. It was always great to get back home to Eagles Nest and sit by the pool and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Three of us (adults) spent nearly 2 weeks at Eagles Nest in mid-March. It was a superb base for our first visit to the Algarve and has all needed amenities needed for a great stay - from the kitchen setup to the computer and TV to the separate bathrooms. The heated pool is a bonus, as is the barbeque. The owner made booking a breeze and answered all the pre-vacation questions we asked. The airport pickup at Faro we arranged through the owner (and return) was provided by an exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and friendly private driver. Information, service and visits by the owners on-site representative were great and he provided much great information. The provided van was an exceptional value and gave us an opportunity to explore the Algarve from end to end. The two local cats who visited the Villa for breakfast were a bonus! Highly recommended.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
