In determining the rental rate, I studied all the oceanfront, two bedrooms villas in Wild Dunes. Because this is a new listing I knew I would have to make the rate very attractive. After spending six hours studying all the villas on VRBO, I realized rates varied all over the place as did the idea of when a season started/ended. But the thing that really drove me crazy was the add on charges. Why didn’t the owner say this is the total price including everything? Surely a potential renter would much prefer the simpler approach. In your search, if you find a better rate, give me a chance to beat it. I will need the web link to the other property to make sure it is an ‘apple to apple’ comparison.
Because I own resort rental property I am not often in the market to search VRBO for places to rent. Awhile back I found myself doing just that. It was interesting to see me gravitate right to the pictures first. I was reminded that ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’. I, of-course, will appreciate hearing about whether you are a member of AARP, AAA, MADD etc, but it won’t affect your rental rate.
NOTEWORTHY – Non-smoking, oceanfront villa with ocean and pool views from the balcony, living room and master bedroom. The villa is larger than most two bedrooms at 1500 square feet. Bed arrangement includes a king bed in the master suite, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room…..accommodating in all six guests. The granite counters, hard wood and tile floors add a touch of elegance. You will love the massive flat screen TV. Linens and towels are provided, washer and dryer, air conditioning, starter supply of paper products and detergents, fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware, flatware, pots and pans, plus local telephone service. Wild Dunes' amenities include golf, dining, and bike trails. The rental includes: free parking for three cars, elevator access, free access to community swimming pool, and 24-hour security in a gated community.

We enjoyed our stay at 204 summer house. It was clean and comfortable. Check-in at Resort Quest was very easy. It was the perfect size for our family of 4, would be tight for a larger group. Great ocean views and walk right out to beach. Condo is about a mile from conference center and wild dunes shops. We enjoyed renting bikes and riding around the resort. Highly recommend Hometeam BBQ of Sullivan's Island for a great meal.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family of 4 just completed a week stay at 204 Summer House. We had a lovely week. The condo was just as advertised on the VRBO site. The condo's location is very close to the beach - very easy walk, the view is not obscured by the dunes, and the beach is very wide in front of the condo even at high tide so there was lots of room. Proximity to downtown Charleston as well as the Mount Pleasant area was perfect. We would definitely consider staying here again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

204 Summerhouse was a great rental. It was spacious, clean, well-equipped and right on the beach. For the money, it would be hard to beat this deal. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

2012 rental. 204 Summerhouse is a very spacious, comfortable condo. It has great ocean & pool views. You can hear the surf from the master bedroom. Liked summerhouse the best of all condo complexes on Wild Dunes.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

even though the end of our week brought rain and wind from hurricane irene, the rest of the week was so great it makes up for that! great location and we felt very safe in the wild dunes gated property. the view from the balcony is beautiful and we had a quick walk to the beach and pool for our toddler. thanks for sharing your condo for our great week at the beach!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The condo was everthing that was advertised. We enjoyed our stay and it is in a great location. The spare bedroom with the twin beds seems larger than most. We would love to return soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Property was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Good access to the beach. Pool area was clean and well maintained. This property had just about everything you needed. It was extremely clean. Loved being on the beach and having the option of the pool. The only thing missing was beach chairs. After all it is a beach condo :):):) and you can't bring them on the plane. I thought that the place where you rent chairs was expensive (I'm frugal) so we bought a couple of beach chairs at Wal-Mart. We left them at the condo for the next renters to enjoy. This place is great for taking walks on the beach or walks around the resort. The balcony is lovely. Would love to go back. One week wasn't enough. We enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpful with instructions upon arrival and departure. The floorplan was ideal and we thoroughly enjoyed the view of the ocean and the pool. The photos depicted them very well. We felt that the grounds and the pool were as nice or better than that of other locations. We loved having meals on the balcony and riding our rented bikes on the sidewalks throughout the Resort. We drove into Charleston three times and were thrilled with the short drive and there are so many good restaurants close by. A wonderful Spring break for our family.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities.

About the owner: My name is Peter Cole and I am the owner’s representative. I wear many hats: an oceanfront, resort, rental condo owner; property manager; rental agent; dog tender (That is Woody in the picture. Spends most of his day in the chair across from my desk watching me work.) and favorite; loving husband. As a Medicare card carrying senior, I look back over a full life. My chosen life ‘occupation’ (my Mother could never bring herself to call it a job) was to take teens on cross country camping trips; 3000 teens in all, spanning 33 years. My nephew Doug slipped into my shoes as I slipped into my retirement. My friends and relatives worried about my having too much time on my hands in retirement so they gave me their resort properties to manage. My reputation as a good manager/agent grew. Now 12 properties fill my stable. It was 1967 when I took ownership of my first rental property. In the years since, we have bought and sold 11. I come to you with a lot of experience.
