Five year old full log cabin on Lake Huron and the Straits of Mackinaw. From inside the cabin you can see all the way from Mackinaw City to Cheboygan including the Mackinaw Bridge, St. Ignace, Mackinaw Island, Round Island and Bois Blanc Island. Watch the many commercial ships as they pass by along with pleasure craft of all types and sizes. Guests can walk the sandy and rocky beach for miles in both directions and see many species of birds and other animals as they come to the water.
Day trips to Mackinaw Island are easy from here as well as trips to the Upper Peninsula where you can visit Sault Ste. Marie and the Soo Locks as well as the Tahquemenon Falls and Park. Both Mackinaw City and Cheboygan have many fine restaurants and gift shops. Also nearby are the cities of Petoskey and Harbor Springs known for their natural beauty and boutique style shopping.
